We are looking for a Director of Software Engineering to join our team in one of today's most exciting technologies. This role will report to VP, Modeling, Controls and Data Science and based in San Jose, CA

As the Director of Software Engineering at BE, What You Will Be Able to Build and Own:

• Manage an experienced technical team of 7-10 people building software for our SCADA systems and Data Sciences
• Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams (ex. Security, Services, Engineering, Product Management etc)
• Prioritize, delegate, and supervise all engineers' activities and deliverables
• Coach individual team members in growing their careers, whether it be technical individual contributor or a technical leader of their own team
• Develop and grow talent through effective mentoring and technical assignments
• Apply agile values and principles to a software delivery team
• Lead the vision for software, big data architecture, data governance and product roadmap

As the Director of Software Engineering at BE, What We are Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
• 10+ years of working experience in an engineering team of a high-growth organization
• 5+ years of experience managing a team of diverse engineers, helping them develop their career progression from both a technical and a growth perspective
• Experience working with at least most or all of the following: SCADA, architecting large-scale software systems with time-series data, Edge and Cloud computing and Data Sciences
• Experience with scaling a High-Quality Team who knows how to inspire their team and get things done with a growth mindset
• Experience in their career related to software development, data sciences, data governance, cloud computing and proficiency in programming languages
• Have a deep understanding and passion for best software practices and work with cyber security requirements of data
• Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and dynamic work environment

Salary Ranges:

$198,400.00 - $285,600.00
