About The Role & Team

Amplitude’s GTM Strategy & Operations team is leading the strategy, planning, enablement and operational management across the GTM teams for Amplitude. Sales Operations is a critical business partner and growth enabler leading our sales strategy, planning and operations for Sales.  We are searching for an outstanding commercially oriented Director of Strategic Deal Pursuits, Sales Strategy & Operations to partner across our global Sales leadership in defining and executing our most strategic enterprise deals. This role will report into the VP Sales Strategy & Operations, and work closely with our CRO and regional sales leaders to raise the bar on creative strategic deal structuring, deal positioning and best practice deal execution of our most strategic deals across Amplitude.  

 In this role, you will:  

  • Enterprise deal best practices - Through your extensive successful s/w deal experience, you will propagate across Amplitude best practices on strategic deal execution.
  • Creative deal structuring - Your creativity will be unleashed to support our sales leaders in crafting competitive and compelling deal structures and strategies.
  • World class negotiation - You will bring your world class negotiation experience and skills to support and coach our sales leaders in defining and executing deal negotiation strategies.

You'll be a great addition to the team if you have: 

  • 15+ years of experience in Sales, deal desk, commercial management.
  • Extensive & successful  s/w sales management experience, perhaps in a major account role, in fast moving sub $1B hypergrowth companies.
  • Perhaps you have previous lead a deal desk function in a hyper growth tech company, or have been a key member of the deal desk team.
  • Outstanding commercial skills, a proven deal maker, in creative deal structuring and execution, with a passion for winning and providing customer value.
  • Strong executive presence to partner with executive leaders, thinking strategically, execution focused with ability to operate at scale with a global mindset.
  • Excellent people leadership, communication skills, team development focused and strong coaching skills.
  • Highly analytical with excellent ability to absorb, process and leverage data.
  • Degree and further education in commercially orientated fields
