Job Overview:
The Director of Supply Chain will lead the Supply Chain (SC) department which procures approximately $0.5B of services and goods annually. This will involve establishing the functional strategy, engaging with key internal and external counterparties and partners, establishing KPIs, driving process improvement and leading the SC team. There will be heavy focus on assessing and bolstering the training and compliance programs.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Lead the development and refresh of the supply chain strategy in collaboration
- Ensure an effective internal client engagement model.
- Establish KPIs to track performance at key points in the P2P process and build an approach for ongoing cross functional teams to drive continuous process improvement.
- Review and enhance people, process and tool capabilities across the Procure-to-Pay process.
- Build an operating model capable of supporting the wide range of projects undertaken by the business, from fast reaction disaster recovery work to long term complex Federal construction and environmental remediation projects.
- Hire, manage and develop a high performing, motivated team responsible for the development and implementation of "best in class" capabilities, processes and systems
- Identify and implement an appropriate model to secure and report savings through strategic procurements and the utilization of companywide buying programs.
- Evaluate risk and create risk mitigation strategies throughout the supply chain including working with legal and insurance representatives to protect the company's interest.
- Oversee the relationship with operating units, projects and other functional areas to ensure the application of best procurement practices throughout the organization.
- Provide oversight for all strategic initiatives associated with SC and their link with other functions such as Engineering and Operations etc.
- Oversee the development and quality of bid packages to ensure compliance with required policies and procedures.
- Lead ongoing supplier base research and analysis, ensuring sourcing team maintains an updated portfolio of supply options and sourcing trends.
- Direct and manage all procurement related policies companywide.
Basic Qualifications:
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related technical field
- Supply Chain Certification preferred: Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified Professional Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.), etc
- MBA preferred
- 10 years of experience in supply chain management, with a solid track record of orchestrating sourcing strategies and initiating cost reduction improvement programs
- Significant experience with Federal procurement requirements
- Successful track record of transforming organizations through change management, process improvement and policy enhancements.
- Proven track record of adding value to companies and providing strong contributions to executive leadership.
- Proven ability to take necessary actions to rectify problems and improve situations, even those outside areas of direct responsibility.
- Proven ability analyzing, organizing, summarizing and articulating complex information to be meaningful / applicable across a variety of audiences.
- Proven experience as a working manager who excels in a fast-paced environment, handles pressure well and is self-motivated to accomplish assigned tasks timely and efficiently.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills -- inclusive of presentation skills and ability to build relationships with team mates, leadership and external business associates at any level.
- Experience with internal audit and compliance is a plus
