Director of Supply Chain and Sourcing

Bevi is on a mission to disrupt the beverage supply chain and replace single-use water bottles with smart water machines. Bevi is seeking a Director of Supply Chain and Sourcing to lead our strategic sourcing and procurement functions. This leader is responsible for driving Bevi’s commodity and component sourcing strategy and execution across our full BOM and product lifecycle, including NPD, NPI, production ramp, sustaining, and end of life phases. This leader will also manage and own all vendor relationships, including contract manufacturers. Working cross functionally with Product (Hardware, Software, Firmware and ID teams), Manufacturing, Quality, and Logistics, plus our contract manufacturing partners, this role is responsible for ensuring that we have the right materials from the right suppliers, at the right place, the right time, and the right cost. This role requires a self-starter who operates with a high level of proactivity to solve supply issues, lead supply chain strategy, forge great supplier agreements, and drive continuous improvement in Bevi’s supply base and supplier relationships.

Responsibilities include:

• Own Bevi’s AVL from early engineering validation through to product end of life, including supply chain strategy, supplier sourcing, qualification, negotiation and agreements, and continuous improvement
• Collaborate closely with Bevi’s Product team on NPD programs and sustaining cut-ins to align material specs and requirements with supply base capabilities, cost, and DFM considerations.
• Manage overall supplier relationships (including contract manufacturing), including managing supplier performance on quality, cost / PPV, lead time, and commercial terms, capacity planning, and risk mitigation
• Own supplier scorecards and QBRs
• Working collaboratively with our CMs, ensure material readiness for NPI and production builds
• Own our commodity and supplier technology roadmap, aligning supplier capabilities with Bevi business requirements
• Manage and grow Supply Team based on business needs

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in supply chain, sourcing, or commodity management roles for direct spend
• Experience in a high growth technology company
• Direct management experience with a team of 3 or more
• Experience sourcing electrical components, PCBAs, and electro-mechanicals
• Experience directly managing contract manufacturers
• Ability to understand engineering design documents for mechanical and electromechanical components
• Understanding of the design engineering through NPI process, including experience working closely with engineering teams on new product development programs
• Experience leading and executing supplier cost, quality, risk, and lead time improvement activities
• Experience in leading supplier RFQs, negotiations, and commercial contracts with critical suppliers
• Experience working with large global contract manufacturers strongly preferred
• Engineering background strongly preferred
