Job Summary:

The Director Supply Chain Management has direct accountability for material acquisition, supply planning, inventory management and bill of materials sustainment to support manufacturing plans and product shipments. This position will regularly exercise substantial discretionary and decision-making authority.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Drives materials procurement activities and supplier management to assure production readiness and maintain desired performance and costs
• Manages personnel responsible for purchasing, planning and inventory control
• Oversee the implementation and use of an MRP system, including working with the MRP vendor on system implementation and working with users on effective resource planning and execution
• Oversee the development and planning of schedules for manufacturing activities and specific schedules for each supporting element; monitor schedule statuses, allocate resources, and address problems which may cause schedule impacts
• Develop KPIs to monitor effective supply chain management
• Deliver improved P&L outcomes through continuous process improvement and by employing lean principles to improve operational effectiveness and reduce costs
• Foster a culture focused on safety and Quality
• Provide motivational leadership and drive high levels of morale in the organization
• Collaborate effectively with peers to deliver on mission critical objectives
• Manage team output and performance, including communicating expectations and accountability, establishing goals, and providing timely feedback/coaching for employee development

Key Accomplishments

The successful candidate will have demonstrated success in many of the following areas.

• Direct experience with supply chain management in an electronics, semiconductor, or microelectronics business (> $100M sales) is desirable. Experience with high frequency products a plus
• Managed an integrated supply chain (procurement and delivery) alongside manufacturing operations
• Procured and implemented an MRP system at the enterprise level
• Impeccable record of meeting schedules and minimizing delinquencies

Minimum Job Requirements:

Four-year college degree in business, engineering, or related discipline with twelve years or more experience in a supply chain management role. Must be self-motivated, creative and can work closely in a team environment with different functions and individuals at various levels in the organization. Experience working autonomously with minimal supervision. Excellent communication skills (presentation skills) at all levels (line employee to C-Level). Astute negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Willing to travel extensively when needed.
