Director of Talent Management - Sales
Job Description
The Director of Talent Management - Sales will develop an ecosystem of continued growth and development pathways at Euromonitor. They will focus on identifying, developing, retaining and engaging talent with the skills, abilities and experiences required for our Sales and Marketing organizations to thrive today and in the future.
The Director will have global responsibility and will drive consistency and accountability to complement local efforts and ideas in these initial areas
Evolution of the Sales Career Path
- Working in partnership with HR and other Talent Partners, create "One Euromonitor" Competency model and align to existing job descriptions.
- Streamline existing career path to increase effectiveness of sales organization and provide clear growth progression for more senior individual contributors and leaders.
- Develop and implement systematic approach to rotations and/or secondments to facilitate growth at various stages of career path.
- Develop a communication plan that clarifies career progression opportunities and pathways to celebrate the many ways one can advance and develop at Euromonitor
Talent Development and Retention
- Own the annual talent review and succession planning processes for the Sales Organization, which includes managing timelines and documentation, educating new leaders on the process, facilitating discussions, and driving accountability for action and outcomes.
- Develop & implement plans to engaged and retain top sales and leadership talent
Other responsibilities:
- Serve as a strategic thought partner and advisor to Sales and Marketing Leaders as they evaluate and solve talent challenges
- Be an influencer and educator of the value of development.
- Drive awareness of available internal and external training and resources
- In alignment with Sales Leadership and other Talent Director(s), identify key metrics to evaluate effectiveness of talent initiatives
- Work flexibly to meet the needs of our global organization
Requirements
As the senior person on the ground, this is a demanding role which requires outstanding leadership and management abilities. You must hold a high level of self-motivation, initiative, excellent communication and co-ordination skills and attract respect from colleagues.
3-5 years Talent Management/Development or relevant HR experience is required in addition to:
- Leadership, motivational and people management skills
- Strong management track record
- Organisational ability
- Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Tenacity and attention to detail
- Although not a necessity, experience working in a global role is preferred to help understand nuances across our 16 global offices
