Director of Technical Program Management
Job Description

The Role:
Lead a small but growing team of ~5 TPMs responsible for cross-functional programs across EUJ. Scale the team and provide coaching and mentorship to more junior team members. Work closely with EUJ Leadership to define the strategy of EMS User Journeys. Act as the fourth leader in PM/UX/Eng/TPM collaborative model. Run yearly and quarterly strategy sessions. Report current project status. Represent EUJ Leadership to the C-Suite. Send (or guide team members through creating) regular status updates for broad consumption across Celonis. Drive execution across our entire portfolio. Provide the structure to enable members of the team to create programs that track tasks and dependencies. Identify and flag hotspots and roadblocks preventing the team from achieving its objectives.

The base salary range below is for the role in the specified location, based on a Full Time Schedule.
Total compensation package will include base salary + bonus/commission + equity + benefits (health, dental, life, 401k, and paid time off). Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and that the actual total compensation offer will be determined based on various factors, including, but not limited to, applicant's qualifications, skills, experiences, and location.
The base salary range below is for the role in California, based on a Full Time Schedule.
$220,000 - $260,000 USD

Requirements:
- Good understanding of software development lifecycle from conception to delivery
- Domain specific technical knowledge in the domain area (e.g Infrastructure, Reliability, SRE, Security/Identity, Connectivity)
- Preferably, previous work experience in software development
- Background in computer science, engineering, related fields or relevant practical experience
- Drive technical design and architecture discussions across cross-functional teams
- Contribute to requirements of software (design, architecture, or testing) with connecting the dependencies, identifying and outlining risks to harden the requirements specifications
- Decipher technical needs of other departments within the organization

- Ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts to variety of audiences easily
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to use both formal and informal influencing skills across teams
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders, and to lead global programs with the goal of customer facing deployments
Strategy
- Proven experience with senior leadership and experience in defining and delivering on the program roadmap
- Ability to include new technologies or fitting design approaches into discussions
Program Management
- Experience managing complex technology programs
- Experience managing projects involving multiple teams/stakeholders, resource planning, risk management and forecasting
