The successful candidate for this role is experienced in leading Agile teams. You understand and have a clear vision on how to implement and execute against Agile best practices. You will establish the core capabilities of the Transformation Office (vision & strategy, program management, organizational change management, measurement, and tooling), and lead the team through the next chapter of our Agile transformation. As a change agent, you will identify ways to drive improvements around processes, challenge the status quo and champion a new culture of business and IT collaboration, innovation, agility, standardization, productivity, and continuous improvement. You will help to educate the organization on Agile best practices and advocate by championing and mentoring across the organization.


Additional Responsibilities

  • Lead the design of an Agile end state organization; Drives the continued transition from a traditional “waterfall” delivery methodology to an Agile-based methodology and culture.
  • Establish the core capabilities of the Transformation Office to ensure that the transformation program delivers business value, ensure that the organization defines the end state, makes the change, and makes the change stick. Partner to establish and measure transformation KPIs.
  • Assess and recommend changes to team structure to better support Agile ways of working.
  • Support the transformation program communications, provide timely updates to relevant areas of the organization to create trust and safety throughout the transformation.
  • Facilitate or source coaching on Agile principles to stakeholders and team members as needed.
  • Organize, manage, and support execution of the transformation, providing visibility to progress and value.
  • Interact and partner with senior leaders and utilize strong influencing, relationships, and leadership skills, coupled with thought leadership to drive strategic Agile Transformation in support of transformational goals and business metrics.
  • Oversee the organization’s System of Transformation, including its structure (executive steering committee, transformation leadership teams, and transformation office team), governance, and measurements.
  • Monitor, communicate and improve performance through quantitative and qualitative measures of value, outcome, velocity, and morale.
  • Establish tooling needed to automate management of the flow of work, governance, and metrics.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, identifying and removing impediments, and supporting teams in their pursuit of better Agile ways of working.
  • Stay current with industry best practices and advancements in Agile methodologies.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required for a senior leadership role.
  • 5+ years of increasing responsibility including leadership working in an Agile environment.
  • Knowledge and application of Agile best practices/methodologies (ex. Scrum, Kanban), their practical applications, and standards as well as program / project management.

Preferred Experience

  • Demonstrated experience leading Agile transformation efforts including designing and implementing Agile operating models, organizational structures, and change management processes, improving team effectiveness.
  • Experience establishing credibility to earn the trust of team members as a trusted advisor, leading through influence instead of positional authority.
  • Ability to balance long-term / big picture with short-term implications of operating model decisions.
  • Experience leading transformation and/or strategy initiatives that have cross-functional impact, adapting plans to changing environments and ensuring the most important work is consistently done by the teams going through transformation.
  • Experience providing coaching and mentorship to individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Industry standard certifications such as PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner), Scrum Master, and/or CBAP.
  • Executive-level presentation skills, comfortable interacting with diverse teams and senior stakeholders.

Location Requirements
Hybrid in Atlanta, GA or Gainesville, FL

Pay range is commensurate with education, experience, specialized skills or certifications, etc.

Gas South Pay Range

$155,040—$182,400 USD
