Director of Treasury

Tyler Technologies is a leading provider of software solutions and services for the public sector. Our products are designed to help state and local governments streamline their operations and improve service to their constituents. We are looking for a Director of Treasury to join our finance team. The Director of Treasury will be responsible for managing our cash and investment portfolios, ensuring compliance with banking regulations, and optimizing our cash flow. This role will also have additional duties and responsibilities specific to the FinTech space for Tyler's payments business.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to manage the company's cash and investment portfolios
• Monitor and analyze market conditions to optimize investment returns
• Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely recording of all treasury transactions
• Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions to ensure the company has access to the best products and services
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with banking regulations, company policies and internal controls
• Forecast cash flow and develop strategies to optimize the company's liquidity position
• Manage the company's debt portfolio, including issuing and refinancing debt as needed
• Collaborate with other departments to provide treasury support for strategic initiatives
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize payment processing and increase efficiency
• Collaborate with the product team to identify and integrate new payment technologies into the company's payment platform
• Indirect responsibility for compliance with payment industry regulations such as PCI DSS and NACHA
• Manage relationships with payment processors and banks to ensure seamless payment processing and reconciliation
• Develop and implement fraud prevention strategies to minimize risk and protect the company and its customers
• Analyze payment data to identify trends and opportunities for optimization
• Work with the customer service team to resolve payment-related issues and improve the customer experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; MBA preferred
• Minimum of 7-10+ years of experience in treasury management, preferably with some FinTech exposure
• Experience managing investment portfolios and working with financial institutions
• Strong understanding of payment industry regulations and compliance requirements
• Experience with payment processing and reconciliation, including ACH, wire, and card payments
• Familiarity with payment fraud prevention strategies and technologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze payment data to identify trends and opportunities for optimization
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Ability to develop and implement strategies to optimize payment processing and increase efficiency
• Experience with debt financing and capital structure optimization
• Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software tools, as well as familiarity with payment processing software and tools
