The Role 

SimplePractice is looking for a visionary Director of Website and SEO to lead our Growth Product team. This leader will be instrumental in driving SEO traffic expansion, as well as trial and paid acquisition growth for SimplePractice, in order to transform SimplePractice from an EHR to an iconic health and wellness brand.

Reporting to our Vice President of Marketing, this role will be a strategic thinker and an experienced leader, championing ideas and activations that will set new industry standards.  This role will also provide strategic counsel to the Chief Marketing Officer and key members of the executive team to help develop company thought leadership, and manage executive voice and speaking engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the web marketing growth strategy for the organization. Build out key journeys that successfully bridge customers from marketing into the product, on both desktop and mobile web
  • Execute on the website redesign in collaboration with the UX/design team, agencies, engineering, that increase website conversion and deliver on brand redesign. Oversee the integration of multiple brands/website onto the main website/brand and successfully execute on the overhaul of the customer purchase journey (e.g implementing ecommerce cart experience) 
  • Work with the SEO team to deliver a robust SEO strategy including overhauling KPIs and dashboards  to turn around the organic results in working with SEO, content and analytics teams 
  • Own the end to end website funnel. Accountable for delivering on the lead capture, signup rate and quality trial growth goals on the website as well as the paid account goals for SEO/organic. Translate, develop, and align marketing goals into web requirements and website goals and objectives that deliver against the overall business strategy.
  • Establish relevant KPIs and ensure necessary reporting to track, analyze and report on-site metrics, performance, and customer data to measure effectiveness and optimize results.
  • Be a leader coach to guide, uplevel and mentor a team of web managers, PMs and SEO
  • Partner with the content, paid and brand  media teams to drive the effectiveness of paid & earned media with optimized landing pages and user journeys to ensure delivery of business goals
  • Define personalized/ customized journeys for target user segments. This requires a deep understanding of user intent, product capabilities and priority use cases for these audiences.
  • Own and leverage customer and data insights, usability studies, and other data to form hypotheses to own the A/B testing roadmap for the web experience. Formulate and execute on the website roadmap across existing page updates, new page creation and ongoing A/B testing to deliver on the website goals, analyze results, and create internal documentation on results.
  • Collaborate with engineering on establishing the long term vision/roadmap for the website and the infrastructure needed to deliver on the vision
  • Evaluate the MarTech stack used for the website and provide recommendations for new vendors as needed to help track analytics or deliver on website roadmap

Desired Skills & Experience 

  • Proven growth, product, or web marketing leadership including leading SEO for 10-12 years , including leading highly versatile and diverse teams for a SAAS direct response or ecommerce SMB or b2C brand
  • Experience presenting to C suite on business performance, strategy and results
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills and excels at using data to showcase performance, highlight insights, and develop recommendations to improve performance.
  • Must be proficient in modern web best practices, including responsive layouts and mobile-first web design, and willing to research and learn new techniques.Understanding of design and layout best practices in a digital environment and website architecture.
  • Experience in formulating and executing on the website experiences for key segments, experimentation roadmap and executing on them to deliver on goals.
  • Experience with SEO tools, including Moz, SEMRush, Google Search Console, etc.
  • Experience in the use of A/B and multivariate testing, leveraging Dynamic Content and Personalization, as well as Automation/Programs
  • An entrepreneurial mentality, interested in getting in at an early stage – but with the interest, drive, and experience to substantially scale the operations over the next 1-2 years
  • Solid marketing technology expertise across web, mobile and other digital channels

Base Compensation Range

 $170,000 - $190,000  annually

Base salary is one component of total compensation. Employees may also be eligible for an annual bonus or commission. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay.

The above represents the expected base compensation range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we’ll consider many factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors.
