We’re looking for an amazing individual to be our Director of Workplace & Engagement as part of our Employee Experience team. We want you to devise and oversee a compelling strategy for our workplaces around the world, and to help boost engagement for all our employees, including our remote workforce. In short, help to create amazing employee experiences. In this role, you’ll be overseeing the team that manages Fivetran’s global offices and events, and also develop a robust and strategic plan for fully serviced options (WeWork, etc). An absolute priority for this role is having very deep international experience. We are looking for that special person who loves leading and inspiring a team of dedicated Workplace individuals and wants to thoughtfully help our remote employees feel a sense of belonging and engagement. As the leader of the team, the individual in the role will be expected to go into the local office regularly.
What You'll Do
- Lead a team of creative, driven individuals to create best-in-class workplace experiences for employees, candidates, and visitorsÂ
- Partner closely Finance and others on our overall office space strategy and management --balancing employee experience and budgetary requirements
- Develop plan & criteria for determining when we explore an office lease vs another option (WeWork, Spaces, Regus, etc) in the U.S. and abroad.
- Drive the employee experience calendar through company events throughout the year, keeping inclusion and belonging top of mind with every projectÂ
- Manage and develop vendor selection guidelines, manage vendor service contracts, periodic and ongoing performance & financial reviews, conduct RFP's, and monitor the performance of the team, including service providers.
- Oversee attendance and other metrics to keep the business informed on attendance or spending trends
- Oversee and execute on-target financial budget of various sites; partner with Finance to track monthly and quarterly metrics.
Skills We're Looking For
- Business acumen and expertise in identifying the strategic factors to weigh when making a decision about a leased local office vs short-term options (WeWork, Regus, etc)
- Ability to effectively build the business case, including working closely with Finance to determine overall budget
- Ability to effectively strategically direct and advise our international brokers to procure the most appropriate and cost-effective options for Fivetran while balancing the needs of the business
- Skillfully able to elicit the right business requirements from the business and be able to assess what options are viable and what are not
- Experienced in lease terms and negotiations to be able to work in close partnership with Finance to produce the best result for Fivetran
- Broad knowledge of U.S. & overseas commercial real estate and WFH trends to help analyze and use data to make best business recommendations for Fivetran’s Future of Work
- 8+ years of workplace, facilities, or office management experience; remote/global experience a big plus
- 5+ years of people management experience
- Leadership in experience design and/or culture-building programs
- Superb people management skills—you’ve led and developed teams before
- Excellent prioritization chops—you can distinguish between the important and urgent, and know-how to appropriately tackle each challenge
- Strong influencing skills and the ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally
- Ability to handle unexpected changes and challenges with poise and collaborative mindset

Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Our job titles may span more than one career level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, business need, market demands. This range represents base salary only and does not include incentive for sales roles, equity, or benefits, if applicable.Â
