What Impact Would You Have?

Everyone wants to feel like they are having an impact. In this position, you absolutely will as you work with Johnson Controls customers, partners, and employees to create a new digital learning experience around on our OpenBlue offerings.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Impact customers, partners, sellers, sales managers, sales leaders and technicians, mechanics, and field operations leaders from around the world as a part of a global team creating stimulating ways to help our organizations build new skills and improve their performance.
  • Build an innovative partner and customer education program focused on our OpenBlue technology platform and Global Products portfolio.
  • Establish and drive training revenue targets supporting our growing digital business.
  • Transform our approach to customer education using a digitally-first mindset while ensuring legacy programs are sustainable.
  • Design and deliver employee, partner, and customer badges, credentials, and certification pathways designed to increase partner capability and provide talent mobility for Johnson Controls' employees.
  • Create social awareness and drive revenue growth that directly supports Johnson Controls' strategic initiatives of sustainability, net-zero carbon emissions, and service transformation.
  • Rethink how learning impacts revenue and customer growth to increase Johnson Controls' presence in the global market.


How Would You Accomplish This?
  • Create, design, and drive Johnson Controls' customer education and enablement initiatives by designing a repeatable, scalable process that ensures content remains current as our products evolve.
  • Build a future-focused team that can help bring our vision of a digitally-enabled, service led organization to life through innovative, customer education programs.
  • Define the Go to Market (GTM) strategy for Learning and Development with input from GP (Global Products) Product Management, Sales, Marketing, and business leadership (GP PBU (Product Business Unit) General Managers, HR Leadership Team)
  • Leverage your expertise in upskilling, reskilling, and skill building to create a skills-focused curriculum for employees, partners, and customers alike.
  • Help design intuitive and creative learning, performance support tools, and programs using smartcards, pathways, and journeys in our Learning Experience Platform (LXP).
  • Use exceptional project management skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and ensure delivery of projects on time and within budget.
  • Act as an internal consultant to combine multiple perspectives into holistic solutions that maximize the impact to the business.
  • Build, maintain and leverage strong relationships with Functional Leaders, C-Suite, & Business Decision Makers.
  • Work with Customer Support and Customer Success Managers to identify and uncover repetitive customer questions by leveraging feedback to create, manage, and iterate on new or existing course content
  • Align Learning external communications with other GTM teams to ensure latest content supports campaigns, launches, and product releases, ensuring that we have a unified approach to sharing content
  • Work with third-party vendors to identify, source, and maintain industry-specific content and certification platforms that create a global brand for Johnson Controls learning and certifications.
  • Partner with our global, regional deployment teams to implement a digitally enabled customer education and certification program across the Enterprise.
  • Maintain current knowledge of trends and issues in learning technology, customer education, and employee experience.
  • Apply what you know about adult learning and share what you learn along the way with the rest of the team.
  • Understand and leverage your thought leadership as it relates to the future of work, learning culture, and motivation and incentive of organizations to create such a culture.
  • Establish measurement and evaluation plans that include key business metrics and return on investment strategies.

  • Articulate - Your writing and communication skills must be strong.
  • Experience - 10+ years of program management, talent development, or customer education and enablement preferred. Extensive time in the tech industry a plus!
