Job Title: Director, Operations (hybrid)
Location: US-GA-Atlanta (Sandy Springs)
FLSA: Exempt
Job Overview:
The focus for this position is on execution of both a strategic plan, as well as fundamental execution and achievement of management objectives. The Director of Operations will be involved with operations specific initiatives as well as other enterprise initiatives or projects. The selected candidate will lead the Cancellations department and work closely with senior operations and business unit leaders across the company. The selected candidate will also provide leadership of building and changing processes and technology enablement to improve efficiency and quality for our employees, clients, dealers, and customers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Use a balanced scorecard to lead groups to meet performance objectives and provide excellent customer experiences
- Ensure organizational objectives are externally focused and are aligned to our mission
- Administer a business and financial plan
- Administer the appropriate cost and service measurements (metrics, measures, controls) to ensure the achievement of all key performance objectives that impact profitability and position in the marketplace
- Advise senior leaders on operations, determine performance objectives/metrics and define tools to measure progress and ensure consistent achievement of objectives
- Analyze performance data and work to reengineer processes through benchmarking with external and internal business partners
- Develop a climate for superior employee satisfaction to include coaching, development, recognition, and succession planning to attract, develop, motivate, and retain high caliber associates and leaders
- Work with business managers on all Human Resources initiatives including, but not limited to, compensation planning, performance management, staffing, and training
- Partner with Legal, Account Management, IT, and other groups to audit Cancellations rules for accuracy based on regulatory, program or product changes
- Work closely with Legal to make sure contracts and terms are favorable (new and renewals)
- Provide leadership to deliver a sense of urgency to investigate and respond accurately and timely to any internal or external issues/opportunities
- Manage overall performance of BPO partners to ensure quality and efficiency targets are met/exceeded along with invoice/financial expectations
- Create weekly updates for VP of Operations along with setting frequency of operational reports
- Drive increased focus on continuous improvement, business process management, and engaging all levels in the process
Job Requirements:
- BS/BA in business or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of experience in operations management
- Demonstrated process improvement and project management experience
- Interpersonal skills to influence and spur cultural change, facilitating and enhancing performance within a cross-functional environment at all levels of the organization
- Experience with financial reports, modeling exercises, interpreting, and communicating operating and financial information
- Strong, independent decision-making ability, negotiation skills and not afraid to take appropriate risks
- Exceptional communication, presentation, problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience leading and managing others
- Passionate and motivating leader
- Data driven and can quickly turn data into information, and action
- Extremely service driven, innovative and highly collaborative
- External knowledge of Automotive F&I Products Cancellations processes is a big plus
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S
- Must be able to successfully pass a background check
