What you'll do on a typical day:

  • Directly oversee a team of project managers who support implementations of new business, process improvements and strategic initiatives throughout different divisions within GXO
  • Responsible for ensuring the company's project strategy, scope, schedule, and budgets are defined for all projects and implementation processes are followed
  • Provide governance for project management by establishing standards, processes, and tools to ensure effective project delivery
  • Manage internal, client and third-party resources to meet deadlines and produce high quality deliverables
  • Serve as a change agent for culture change and the use of leadership-standard work at all levels of the organization
  • Track overall progress of delivery team velocity through daily reporting on capacity, budgets, and project risks. Report site deployment and project execution progress using standard reporting templates
  • Provide guidance in RFP development and presenting to clients the GXO implementation process and procedures to ensure quality standards of delivery and documentation.

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field, or equivalent related work
  • 7 years of progressive experience in a PMO environment, creating standardization of processes and documentation
  • Experience leading large-scale, multisite and/or multiregional transformational projects
  • Experience performing complex analysis of data, processes, policies, procedures and/or systems
  • Solid project and time management skills with the ability to multitask and manage customer expectations
  • Proven leadership and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively supervise, coach and influence employees; strong interpersonal skills with the ability to get along with diverse personalities
  • Ability to present and communicate to all levels of the organization
  • Results oriented, ensuring we deliver on commitments while also working to continuously improve processes
  • PMP certification

It'd be great if you also have:

  • Supply chain project management experience
  • Smartsheet experience in building project plans, and dashboards
  • Availability to travel 50-75% of the time as needed, occasionally on short notice
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and apply learnings
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present clean, organized, and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience
