Position Description
Origis Energy is seeking an experienced, technically focused Manager of BESS Delivery to be responsible for the complete execution life cycle of grid-scale battery energy storage project(s) from Development to Operations. The Manager of  BESS Delivery will report to the Director of BESS Delivery to ensure timely and accurate project delivery. A director level position may be considered for qualified candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Management Duties:
- EPC budget and cost management
- Communicate project status with project teams, vendors, and stakeholders
- Identify and mitigate project risks
- Develop fully integrated schedule and updates as needed
- Close engagement/support of internal Finance team
- Project schedule management
- EPC scope of work development
- Internal management presentations/updates
- Ensure project documentation is complete and accurate, including project reports and contracts
- Hold the vendors accountable for their deliverables, services, and schedule during the construction on site
- Engineering Duties:
- Drive value engineering efforts
- Manage multiple 3rd party consultants/engineers
- Procurement Duties:
- Major equipment selection evaluations
- 3rd Party EPC bidding and contracting
- Construction Duties:
- EPC contract management
- Review subcontractor and vendor change orders throughout the project lifecycle and negotiate appropriate change orders with subcontractors
- Coordinate with construction site teams
- Interconnection Utility interface
- Drive closeout and turnover coordination with operations
Preferred Qualifications
- Large utility scale solar plus storage or stand alone storage experience required
- Strong technical BESS background ideal
- 5+ years in construction, electrical experience preferred
- Comprehension of BESS cost structure
- Experience in EPC contract negotiations and management
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Possess a "get it done" mentality
- Technical or Business degree required
- Professional certification (PE, RA, or other) preferred
Location   San Diego CA; Austin TX; Miami FL; remote considered for the right candidate
Travel      Up to 40% travel as needed
Job Level   Manager or Director depending on candidate - no direct reports
