Job Summary
The position of Director, Owned Media and Advanced Advertising is responsible for driving strategic vision and oversees media strategy and planning that drives brand consideration, upsell and retention to deliver on base management commercial goals. The role will develop, oversee execution and strategy of owned and paid media plans for multiple Comcast and Xfinity lines of business. The position will mainly focus on TV, Advanced TV (Addressable) and Digital campaigns specific to current Xfinity customers utilizing Comcast Owned Media Assets. The Director will work cross functionally with various internal and external partners and will possess a strong mix of linear, addressable and analytics experience. The role will work hand in hand with EBI, Effectv and Comcast Advertising to oversee the audience addressable roadmap to drive technology innovation and personalization. Responsibilities also include working with marketing communications counterparts to align on message priorities, go to market deadlines, campaign analysis and day to day maintenance of specific paid campaigns with Spark Foundry. This position will be expected to manage and lead one or more professionals at a Manager or Analyst level.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities
  • Develops media objectives, strategies and overall plan direction to drive base management commercial goals via all owned media channels.
  • Work with internal Comcast Advertising team on the strategy, execution, stewardship and analysis of all Owned Media campaigns (TV, Premium Digital Video, Addressable, Digital)
  • Oversee day to day TV and Digital trafficking requests from stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of all Owned Media campaigns (Xfinity, Xfinity Mobile, Xfinity Home, Comcast Business, NBCU Symphony, etc.)
  • Effectively communicate quarterly plans to Division counterparts in Atlanta, Denver and New England and adjust accordingly based on company needs
  • Deliver media reporting and insights that drive informed media optimizations via Xfinity's custom Data + Math Platform
  • Provide knowledge/analysis of key metrics to identify, recommend and implement changes to enhance performance.
  • Collaborate with EBI on Next Best Action arbitration engine to grown customer lifetime value in outbound marketing channels, mainly Linear Segmented Addressable
  • Oversee the audience addressable technical roadmap to enhance media capabilities and innovation
  • Develop process improvements and build/grow relationships across cross functional teams, including Marketing & Communications, Comcast Advertising, EBI, Media and Creative agencies
  • Lead the strategy and execution of specific customer paid media campaigns in conjunction with business units and Spark Foundry
  • Monitor ongoing Marketing Partnership barter commitments to ensure they are met and reported out on
  • Contribute to and maintain a positive work environment.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing or related field, or recognized equivalent in work experience.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of related work experience
  • Well-rounded knowledge of all media channels (TV, Digital, OOH, etc.)
  • Advertising agency, TV and Digital media planning preferred
  • Experience in data/measurement analytics in the Linear and Digital space
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations
  • TV and Digital Traffic experience a plus
  • Proven ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong business, communication, and organization skill
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
