Job Description

Discovery Education is searching for an experienced leader of partner success professionals to guide a Regional Team responsible for making every customer in the portfolio realize the full value of their solution, ultimately driving higher retention and growth within the Region. As a Senior Leader in the Partner Success Organization, the ideal candidate will partner directly with cross-functional leaders in the Region to ensure all members of the team are developing and executing effective engagement strategies, assessing, and managing risk accurately, and accountable to the Region financially through detailed forecasting. This high-visibility role will report directly to the Vice President, Partner Success.

This role can sit in our Charlotte HQs or sit in the Southeast region of the US.

About the Role

  • Lead a team of Discovery Education Success Managers.
  • Work with team to plan and direct all aspects of the Region's book of business, including but not limited to account strategies, escalations, objectives, and initiatives in alignment with the Discovery Education Partner Success organization and methodologies.
  • Hire, train, and coach the team, such that they consistently set a standard for the experience they give their customers, are fulfilled by their work, and have a deep understanding and plan for their careers.
  • Be a resource to the team on industry trends, engagement methodology, and deal strategies.
  • Manage escalations in order to achieve and exceed quarterly churn targets and focus on sharing finding across the teams and strategies.

  • Bring planning, focus, and creativity with you every day.
  • Work with Sales and Success leaders to identify trends and uncover opportunities for improved or new success engagements or professional development offerings.

Requirements

  • 10 - 15 years of experience and success in the education, EdTech and SaaS industries.
  • Experience in education and/or education technology.
  • Proven acumen of retention, churn, and growth metrics.
  • Understanding the value drivers in recurring revenue business models.
  • Able to prepare, present, and revise forecasts based on risk assessments.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Excellent people management skills with the ability to lead collaboration across functions and teams.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, Gainsight (preferred), and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to do what needs to be done without being micromanaged.
  • Ability to manage/prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrate a problem solving/solution-oriented approach.
  • Ability to understand, accept and engage with people of diverse backgrounds.
  • Candidates must be willing to travel 50% of the time to meet with partners, clients, or internal meetings.
