Director, Payments and Risk

Reporting to the Senior Director, Risk & Compliance, the Director of Payments Risk will be responsible for directing and enhancing the design and execution related to key areas of payments risk to the organization including suspicious activity fraud, and related policies and escalation protocols.

Job Duties:

Maintains records documenting findings and recommendations and tracks corrective action.

Monitors activity and takes appropriate action to identify and mitigate fraud and suspicious activity.

Communicates actions and recommendations with internal departments, gaming operators, and issuing banks as appropriate.

Resolves and responds to consumer and regulatory complaints in a timely manner.

Initiates disputes against non-compliant debt transactions to recover losses.

Reviews marketing and collateral to ensure compliance with all banking and regulatory standards.

Supports Government Affairs with ongoing comment on and review of banking and gaming regulations for product implementation.

Establishes a working relationship with prepaid platform fraud team to review trends, establish action plans, and enhance system alerts.

Provides monthly and periodic bank level reports per bank requirements.

Assists with maintaining Network and Bank relationships with respect to compliance, reporting trends, incidents that warrant reporting, introduction of new products, action plans and related effectiveness.

Supports reporting of fraud related activity to the appropriate law enforcement authorities, including any necessary follow up.

Assists with customer due diligence (KYC) and diligence of new casino partners as requested by Licensing.

Qualifications:

5+ years in an issuer or payment services risk management role

Bachelor degree and CAMS certified

Proven leadership with high integrity standards

Able to thrive in ever-changing environment

Self-starter

Familiarity with prepaid products a plus

Experience with Lexis Nexis services

Experience in working with State and Federal law enforcement related to fraud reporting

Excellent written and oral communication skills is required

Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel

Ability to learn and navigate new systems and organize data appropriately

Available for moderate travel
