Director, Payments (Remote)

At ezCater, the Finance & Accounting teams drive financial strategy, orchestrate company-wide capital allocation processes and maintain a sound controllership environment that enables the successful growth of our business. As an online marketplace of scale, we have a substantial volume of incoming and outgoing payments, and we are seeking a leader who can orchestrate and manage the processes and technologies end-to-end. The Director, Payments will be the single threaded leader for all things payments and will report to the CFO.   

What You'll Do:

• Manage and lead a team of payment professionals while guiding the digital transformation of ezCater's payment processes.
• Own and drive the payments roadmap for ezCater, working with and leading a cross-functional team of product, engineering, finance and operation managers for building a seamless payment experience that is robust and secure.
• Identify, develop and launch new payment features in collaboration with the sales, product and marketing team based on customer inputs.
• Proactively identify processing improvements and cost optimization opportunities on an ongoing basis to keep the cost of payments low.
• Ensure that our payment transactions are complete, accurate and processed timely by leading the preparation, review and reconciliation process.
• Optimize the payment systems and infrastructure to scale with the business. Lead various payment initiatives including our catering partners payment platform, the procure-to-pay process, and actively manage our payment processing relationships.
• Develop KPI and monitor performance, identify trends and create opportunities for improvement throughout the payment technology stack (currently the internal systems include Braintree, Payoneer, BILL, and Ramp).
• Develop, maintain, and recommend policies, procedures and systems to enhance operational efficiency and internal controls, including documentation and testing.
• Ensure the payment program are in compliance with PSPs and Network regulations such as PCI Compliance, Fraud and Chargeback monitoring program
• Support and ensure team culture is inclusive, fair and engaging. Hire, train, and develop team members into solid performers.

What You Have: 

• Minimum 10-15 years progressive responsibility in high-volume transaction environment with in-depth knowledge of payment processes, general corporate treasury principles, and metrics
• At least 6 years of experience leading teams.
• Experience with technology enabled payment platforms such as Payoneer, BILL, and Braintree/AMEX preferred
• Deep payment knowledge and demonstrated experience partnering/negotiating/ innovating with the major payments networks(Visa/MC/AX/DSC)
• Excellent leadership skills with a proven track record for developing geographically dispersed high-performing teams including recruiting, coaching, and mentoring them on career growth
• Proven ability to build strong cross functional relationships across organization and elevate Payments contribution to success of the business
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast paced, high growth environment and adapt to changing work environments with ability to prioritize urgent requests

The national cash compensation range for this role is $192,000-$297,000*
