Job Description

The Director of Technical Consulting and Delivery is responsible for driving the technical strategy and delivery of implementation of Pharmacy Benefit Management practices with PSGThe candidate will play a larger role as it relates to technical leadership and direction-setting/guidance for clients.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Portfolio diversification and expansion.
  • Develop integration and process standards and best practices for technology management and innovation.
  • Understand existing PBM capabilities and assess new capabilities across data, member, transformation, and migration strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and other cross-functional teams; design and implement best-in-class frameworks, methodologies, and governance structures for delivering consulting services on modernizing the PBM.
  • Partner with clients to assess and recommend process optimization through automation and improve efficiency.
  • As appropriate, serve as part of the client Delivery leader for pharmacy projects. This includes architecture and design, but also the willingness to dive in and engineer solutions, personally, if needed.
  • Guide and oversee technical delivery across implementation projects.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on relevant topics, technologies, and trends.
  • Lead technical assessments of vendor products or new technologies.
  • Create and execute an implementation support strategy that drives industry best practice, standardization, efficiency, flexibility, and innovation
  • Responsible for Identifying, evaluating, and recommending other key technologies required to support and improve the business processes within PSG and as part of the consulting services to clients.
  • Responsible for technical projects to ensure they are aligned with organizational strategic objectives and key results.
  • Ability to manage a complex mix of implementation projects while optimizing resource allocation based on strategy and business goals
  • Manage vendors and consultants and provide day-to-day oversight of junior team members.
  • Coach, train, and challenge team members to develop their skills and expertise; conduct performance evaluations.

 

Experience, Education and Specialized Knowledge and Skills

Must have excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to develop important relationships with clients and key stakeholders, good conflict management and negotiation skills, and the ability to analyze complex issues to develop relevant and realistic plans, programs, and recommendations. Must have a demonstrated ability to translate strategy into action, excellent analytical skills, and an ability to communicate complex issues in a simple way and to orchestrate plans to resolve issues and mitigate risks.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of product management experience and 3+ years of experience leading a product management organization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Product management specializing in the development of digital/software-based products and technology-based solutions preferred.
  • Strong digital product and technology acumen with a proven track record of defining and delivering successful digital project portfolios.
  • Experience with next generation architectural concepts, including Integrations, process automation, Low-no-code, etc.
  • Experience in current and trending Intelligent Automation development platforms and methodologies.
  • Experience, exposure, and knowledge of primary cloud provider offerings and architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with pharmacy benefit related business process domains.
  • Strong interest data and software development as key enablers of corporate performance.
  • Highly motivated, decisive, and results-oriented individual with the flexibility and creativity to excel in a rapidly growing and changing environment.
  • Experience working with all levels of management and consulting with key business stakeholders; ability to influence for greater outcomes.
  • Strong team player that has a customer service approach and is solution-oriented.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work individually, within a multi-disciplinary team, as well as with external partners and vendors.
  • Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills.

The national average salary for this role is $150k - $180k in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. The base pay offered will be determined based on your experience, skills, training, certifications and education, while also considering internal equity and market data.
