Hurry up! We’ve got a dream to build!

BlueConic is an international SaaS startup with a clear-eyed focus on being the market leader in the red-hot Customer Data Platform category. As our business continues along a consistent and sustainable growth trajectory, we need the right people to contribute to and expand upon the core strengths that make BlueConic such a successful business. The Director of People is a critical role that will support and develop the talent and build on the culture of our international organization.

We’ve got a job for you.

As the Director, People Operations (US), you will work closely with legal, finance, other members of the People and Talent team, and the entire BlueCrew. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will operate as a true generalist and focus on the full scope of the People/HR Operations function including business partnership, employee experience and engagement, and talent management. In all aspects of your work, you’ll seek out optimal ways to scale, making an immediate measurable impact on the company while also building for the future.

In this role you will:

  • Employ expertise, partnership, and empathy while partnering with leaders and managers to understand their parts of their business and to proactively address any employee relations and performance concerns as they arise.
  • Gather and analyze qualitative and quantitative data (including via People systems such as BambooHR & Lattice, engagement surveys, pulse surveys, onboarding & offboarding surveys, and informal feedback from face-to-face meetings) to identify trends, and develop and execute strategies, initiatives, and activities that cultivate growth, innovation, and organizational effectiveness.
  • In collaboration with our European People Operations team, design, launch, and manage new People programs aligned to our core values and centered around employee engagement, community volunteering, recognition, and talent development, ensuring a consistent experience for all employees globally.
  • Evaluate and iterate on existing People programs, policies, and processes including onboarding, offboarding, performance management, and learning & development in coordination with the People, Talent, and Operations/Security teams globally.
  • Own all benefits relationships, processes, and annual open enrollment, ensuring our plan design aligns with overall business strategy and employees are educated on relevant offerings and processes.
  • Continually explore, evaluate, and enhance People systems and tools to facilitate effective management of the entire employee lifecycle, and educate and guide employees, managers, and leaders on HR systems, processes, and policies, promoting a self-service approach by providing documentation and materials via our wiki, HRIS, Box, etc.
  • Ensure the company is in full compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations and that accurate employee records are maintained to meet internal and external reporting requirements.

For this role you have the following:

  • 8+ years relevant HR experience working with a digital workforce.
  • Prior experience working in People roles within companies with an international / global presence.
  • Experience with, and an affinity for, working in scale-up environments (250 to 500 employees and beyond) and constantly evolving high growth technology companies.
  • Working knowledge of and experience in multiple HR functions and procedures such as pay and benefits, compensation, labor law and employment best practices, HR systems, training, employee relations, talent acquisition.
  • A detail-oriented, deadline-driven approach, working with a high degree of accuracy; both people and process focused.
  • Strong HR systems experience including selecting and implementing new vendors and platforms and maintaining existing tools and relationships. Working knowledge of BambooHR a plus.
  • Superlative judgement, maturity, and integrity. You create trust in each interaction and are deeply empathetic to the needs of the individual while maintaining firm boundaries and balancing the needs of the business.

You’ll be a great fit if you are:

  • An exceptional written and verbal communicator who is comfortable when presenting to small and large audiences.
  • Deeply responsible and accountable, with a precise attention to detail and analytical rigor while still maintaining the context of the bigger picture.
  • Extraordinarily curious with an outstanding level of EQ enabling you to be a quick study when it comes to understanding the “how and why” driving our approach to hiring and growing talent.
  • Inclined towards taking initiative, reducing friction, and solving problems to help others.
  • Passionate about building upon and creating anew the environment where team members thrive and grow in both the near term and future state.

Reasons to join us:

  • Help build the best company in marketing technology, period.
  • Help shape BlueConic and this function as both expand and grow.
  • Enjoy a flexible, remote-first approach to work.
  • Thrive in an inclusive, multi-cultural environment with a values-driven work culture that has been deliberately crafted from the beginning.
