The Role:Â
As our Director, People Technology & Operations, you will be a founding member of the People Leadership Team. You’ll lead the function, own our people technology strategy and roadmap (both candidate and employee), drive critical global implementations, and drive enhancements and optimizations in how we work. You’ll partner with our people and business teams to deeply understand how your team can address our current and future business needs. You will also hire, manage, coach, and grow a team of highly engaged and creative team members.
This 100% remote position will report to our Chief People Officer.
Daily Adventures and Responsibilities:
- Build and lead a global People Platform team, supporting the candidate and employee experience; successfully coach and manage a high-performing, engaged team
- Develop an integrated strategy and roadmap for People systems (ATS, HRIS, L&D), process, data strategy, and tools to meet business requirements, drive automation, business insights, and employee engagement.
- Identify, implement, and launch a world-class operating model to ensure team members have global support and are enabled to be successful, including long-term data strategy & analytical strategy to ensure successful tooling, automation, KPIs, SLAs, and performance reporting.
- Design, implement, and facilitate our global mobility strategy and operations to ensure we are a global employer of choice (immigration, visas, entity creation, expansion, compliance) and enable talent movement across borders.
- Partner with other teams within People, Payroll, IT, Finance, Corporate Tax, and Legal to periodically review and build Relocation policies and processes.
- Oversee the assessment, selection, and procurement of systems, as well as maintain and strengthen vendor relationships
- Build deep cross-functional relationships and partner with team members across Apollo to understand needs and assess existing people processes, technology, and practices. Identify gaps and inefficiencies.
- Continually ideate around how to make large and incremental changes to products, services, and processes. Lead thoughtful complex, cross-functional solutions to automate, standardize, optimize and centralize work to enhance the employee experience across all geographies.Mentor and develop a world-class People team; hire and train additional team members.
What We'll Look For (Qualifications):
- 10+ years of experience in People Technology; ideally with 3+ years in a global context
- 4+ years of people management experience
- Proven and tested experience implementing and scaling global People technology
- Experience managing large-scale, organization-wide change management
- Superb people leadership skills
- Proven prioritization of DEI efforts, including implementing into operations and team management
- Excellent influencing and negotiation skills
- Excellent program management capabilities, including managing teams of program managers in a high growth environment
- A passion for making improvement, learning and driving efficiencies
