Job Summary

F&G is seeking an Information Technology Director to be part of our Delivery and Transformation team within the Enterprise Services division. This position fulfills a key role in supporting IT interaction maturity, strategy development and planning, while helping leadership run IT. By creating strong relationships with IT and peer enterprise departments, this leader will champion information technology interaction model and outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Own and oversee information technology’s QBR (Quarterly Business Review) activities and overall department roadmap.
  • Partner and advance strategy planning activities, communication, associated training and cultural readiness leveraging OKR framework.
  • Responsible for IT key performance metrics management, reporting and interaction with leadership.
  • Partner with financial planning and IT leadership with financial management, including annual budget, planning, monitoring operations spend.
  • Assist IT leadership with associated industry benchmarking, professional memberships and conferences to upskill overall IT services and leaders.
  • Partner with IT leadership with overall communication internal and external to IT – help advance voice of IT within the enterprise.
  • Partner with Vendor and Procurement Management Offices in managing intake, execution and termination of contracts, purchases and strategic relationships.
  • Lead change and governance initiatives originating from IT leadership.
  • Serve in an advisory capacity to business/IT leaders – Consult with leaders and team members to identify issues and risks impacting IT operations.
  • Support efforts to define, embrace, and celebrate our organizational culture. Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities, facilitate conversations, and drive execution of solutions that improve cultural health.

Experience and Education Requirements

  • B.S. or B.A. required, advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years direct experience with IT planning, strategy and/or transformation with various sized organizations.
  • 3+ years experience in managing cross-functional teams and peer leadership.
  • Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence) knowledge a plus
  • Business Process Engineering, Six Sigma or Lean a plus
  • Knowledge of Financial Services industry a plus

Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with a variety of different individuals including executive leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and independently deliver on high complexity assignments.
  • Exceptional presentation, facilitation, written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to develop compelling messaging for diverse audiences.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team environment, with proven ability to build strong relationships and deliver effective consulting and coaching.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and coaching to motivate and retain team members.
  • High degree of integrity and ability to handle confidential matters and sensitive situations with discretion.
  • Ability to successfully navigate within varying degrees of ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with high level of attention to detail.
  • Proficient with business productivity tools (e.g. MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint).
