Your Day to Day:

Purpose of the Role

The HOC Project Management Office (PMO) Director (Hotel Owner Commercial Product/Platforms) provides strategic leadership and direction to the HOC Project Management Office (PMO) team. The HOC PMO Director leads the implementation and continuous improvement of project management processes, methods, tools, guidelines, and standards to establish a stable, repeatable, and measurable framework to improve the probability of successful project delivery.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide leadership and strategic direction for the HOC PMO.
  • Develop and continuously assess and improve methodology, processes, and governance to optimize PMO maturity.
  • Develop and implement project management best practices & standards for ensuring repeatable and measurable outcomes, including certifications and qualifications for Program/Project Managers, success measurement criteria, methodologies, and tools.
  • Set key performance goals and monitor performance indicators, while continually seeking to improve project transparency and efficiency.
  • Augment team capacity by leveraging direct project management experience (e.g., working with project sponsors to develop project business cases/charters).

What We Need From You:

Education -

Bachelor's degree in business, management, Information Technology, or related field. Equivalent combination of applicable education, training, certification, or experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Experience -

Ten years of project management experience demonstrating progression of increased responsibilities with seven years of leadership experience, including the PMO function, facilitating senior management business and project meetings, and preparing and delivering briefings to executive leadership.

Technical Skills and Knowledge -

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong presentation skills. Confident communicator, with demonstrated ability to present information effectively to groups and individuals.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Well-developed interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships.
  • Effective conflict resolution and problem resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others and influence change. Ability to establish credibility and be decisive.
  • Expert-level knowledge of project management and associated methodologies, techniques, processes, and approaches.
