The Role

AXS is seeking a Director, PMO to join our team in Los Angeles. Our Director, PMO is responsible for managing the execution and delivery of technology projects as part of the larger AXS product portfolio. The incumbent works with the SVP, Delivery Management while engaging clients and functional teams to manage and deliver new technology products. They will serve as the main driver of the client relationship, project communication, and share PMO best practices with internal and external stakeholders. 


What Will You Do?

  • Oversee and directly manage the PMO function across the product portfolio
  • Manage the quarterly execution process across our product portfolio, driving alignment to company strategy and resource allocation goals
  • Provide cross-functional and organization wide roll ups of roadmap initiatives, staffing forecasts and project health assessments for executive level review.
  • Own PMO communications to a cross-functional stakeholder audience acting as the voice of the PMO and all related portfolio activity
  • Manage and mentor the internal resources staffed in the PMO, focused on execution and planning
  • Partner with other cross-functional leadership to provide continuous improvement of our planning and execution processes to ensure visibility, alignment, predictability and overall portfolio governance
  • Provide leadership and guidance to key executives which include delivery, support and governance of digital products and services across a variety of platforms
  • Partner with external delivery partners to manage and improve the overall relationship and delivery success
  • Investigate and identify opportunities to streamline the SDLC processes and eliminate redundancy across the product/technology organization.
  • Collaborate with SVP, Delivery Management to ensure alignment with company strategy and governance plans
  • Coordination across Finance, Operations, IT, Legal, Compliance, Sales and Marketing to ensure successful implementation and ongoing performance of technology deliverables
  • Define KPIs / ROI measurements, and governance model required to track program effectiveness.

 

What Will You Bring?

 

  • BA/BS Degree (4-year) In a related area
  • 6-8 years’ experience in technical project management with ability to balance multiple priorities and excel in a dynamic and fast paced environment
  • Experience in directly managing enterprise-scale web and mobile applications. A deep understanding of the underlying technological concepts supporting the business applications is a must (relational database models, API integration, presentation-layer integration points). A technology background is a strong asset for this position.
  • Successful track record in working with client, business and technology teams to define, develop, test and launch new products.
  • Experience supervising and leading productive teams
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to interact with executive management.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet overlapping deadlines.
  • Expert in using and configuring JIRA as well as PPM platforms.
  • Working knowledge of the entertainment ticketing industry a plus.
  • Strong meeting and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and management skills
  • Ability to distill complex technical matters depending on your audience
  • Keen business acumen
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel) (High proficiency)

Bonus points if You Have

  • Working knowledge of the entertainment ticketing industry a plus.
  • Portfolio Management Professional (PMP) PMP and/or CSM certification a plus.

Pay scale: $130,458-$197,664
