Location: Plano, TX

Ericsson is looking for a Neutral Host (NH) and Private Network (PN) Design Manager that will lead delivery of in-building projects for RAN and meet customer requirements. The position is applicable for design and optimization of in-building RAN networks for Ericsson products largely. This is an outstanding assignment to engage in the whole process from pre-sales of services and networks to service delivery and acceptance! Here you will focus on implementing the design and optimization of services, be accountable for the solution and of the service process and influence the scripting and integration services. This position will require a leader who can supervise time, performance, and quality, according to Ericsson requirements and customer contracts!

What you will do

  • Handling the NH & PN Engineering group supporting department cost center financial targets, maintaining group and individual utilization/billability targets, and leading all aspects of project execution and account interface responsibilities assigned to the group.
  • Leading NH & PN In-building project execution and delivery strategy discussion with external customer and internal project teams.
  • Define the product solution, leads design and optimization activities from a technical standpoint. Familiar with Passive DAS and RDS systems.
  • Assist business development manager with market penetration strategies and provide support for proposals & technical presentations to prospective customers. Lead senior level direct reports in performing the product management/business development area to senior level direct reports.
  • Presenting and deploying company policies, directives, and strategies applicable to the Engineering group
  • Support the department head in running operating budget and cost center performance.
  • Participate in employee development planning and competence build up based on market direction and technology changes resources dimensioning and resource planning.
  • Empowering your direct reports to create a culture of exceptional motivation and employee happiness.
  • Lead Performance Management activities for direct reports and supply assessments across the department to ensure high level of performance within the department.
  • Identifying and implementing efficiencies within Manager's responsibility and driving opportunities across the department to realize OPEX reductions.
  • Support information collaboration across the Network Engineering organization.
  • Steers and handle fulfillment of customer commitment and ensures customer satisfaction.
  • Push for automation and multi-functional co-ordination among radio network design, scripting, integration, tuning and optimization.

You will bring

  • Technical competency in Engineering disciplines including network dimensioning, link-budget analysis, propagation analysis, frequency & capacity management, drive testing data analysis, network optimization, network quality auditing, network acceptance and in-building RF design.
  • Knowledge in design and optimization of GSM, WCDMA, CDMA, LTE and NR networks to facilitate improving network integrity including addressing handover causes, dropped calls, handover success-rate improvement, etc.
  • Good understanding of Business, Operations, Finance, and Processes.
  • Proven track record in achieving business targets.
  • Superb communication and inter-personal skills.
  • The ability to influence subordinates, colleagues, and Senior Managers.
  • A solid understanding of the Telecom Product and Services environment and future trends.
  • Understanding of Project Management
  • Understanding and experience with Organizational Change
  • Excellent leadership skills; driven by business excellence.
  • Creativity and vision to establish a synergetic RF Engineering strategy that will differentiate Ericsson RF services from the competition.
  • Passion to stimulate and empower the team to business excellence.
  • Knowledgeable with all innovative wireless technologies.
  • 10+ Years of technical and management experience (or suitable experience leading teams) in cellular/wireless network engineering preferred.
  • 5+ years of Customer Facing Project experience across different customers.
  • Technical competency in In-building Design including network dimensioning, link-budget analysis, propagation analysis, frequency & capacity management and coverage optimization. Experience with iBwave is preferred but not required.
  • A solid understanding of the Telecom Product and Services environment and future trends.
  • Strong relationships with senior management of service providers are desirable.
