The Director of Privacy, sitting within the Ethics & Compliance Department, has broad experience in managing a privacy program for a global company that has federal and state government customers, commercial contracts, and drives consumer interactions through its commercial products, including in the Over-The- Counter (OTC) space.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Reasonable accommodations will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.• Run a strategic and comprehensive privacy program compliant with U.S. Federal and State laws, GDPR and other international privacy laws that develops, maintains, and implements policies and processes that enable consistent, effective privacy protection practices • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure privacy compliance in system and process implementations• Monitor developments in state, federal and provincial privacy laws and communicate changes in laws and industry best practices to business teams• Partner with stakeholders across the organization to complete Data Protection Impact Assessments ("DPIA") • Respond to inquiries and requests regarding personal information ("Data Subject Access Requests")• Provide guidance on consumer-facing pharmaceutical marketing and outreach initiatives• Lead the Privacy Working Group in monthly meetings and program initiatives• Manage and update, as needed, the global privacy and data breach policies and procedures• In the event of a security incident, assist IT and Legal in mitigation and remediation plans, including breach notifications• Create and implement innovative and tailored training programs, educational resources and awareness campaigns• Review commercial contracts for privacy issues• Identify and implement process improvements and enhancements to the privacy program• Prepare reports and present status updates and initiatives on the privacy program to leadership• Support ethics & compliance programs with investigations, Code of Conduct and policy updates and ethics training

MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS• Bachelor's degree required. Law Degree from an ABA Accredited Law School required. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience required. • Experience in creating and managing privacy programs• A self-starter and team player who works collaboratively with colleagues across the organization• Strong interpersonal skills• Strong presentation, and oral and written communication skills• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint• Experience with OneTrust or another similar privacy management tool preferred• CIPP, CIPM or similar certification preferred
