Director, Procurement and Supply Chain

Job Summary

The Director of Logistics & Supply Chain will be responsible for managing critical operations functions and driving improvement projects within PharmaCann’s product supply chain.  The individual should have a strong understanding of procurement, production and distribution within a CPG environment.  Experience within the cannabis industry or manufacturing industry is preferable.  The individual will be an exceptional communicator and project manager.

Essential Duties 

• Manage operations personnel responsible for procurement, warehousing and distribution of raw materials across PharmaCann’s multi-state footprint.
• Uses sales and operation planning data provided by the Analytics department to plan and purchase raw materials needed for production operations.
• Partner with Analytics to analyze inventory levels and logistics data to create and refine supply chain management strategies.
• Create a procurement and planning process flow to ensure coordinated and efficient supply of production (e.g., cost reduction programs and key supplier management). 
• Incorporate ERP systems into supply chain policies and procedures.
• Conduct cost analyses and set benchmarks for supply chain improvement.
• Collaborate with other PharmaCann cross-functional departments to close operational gaps and resolve supply chain issues as they arise.
• Report and share information with PharmaCann cross-functional department leadership to ensure they are kept fully informed on the efficient flow of goods and services, stock levels and logistical routes.
• Evaluate and implement new strategies to improve the efficiencies across the PharmaCann supply chain, from procurement through Retail and Wholesale sales.

Qualifications

• BS degree and 7 plus years’ experience providing strategic and operational leadership in a customer driven planning and logistics environment.
• A systems subject matter expert with a process focus from planning through fulfillment and Inventory Management/ERP/MRP implementation.
• Demonstrated success in developing and leading teams and providing both tactical and strategic leadership to cross functional teams and the production sites as a whole.
• Breadth of experience in new material set up and managing raw material planning.
• Highly developed leadership skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
• The ability and qualities to develop long-term cross functional relationships and to work effectively under high pressure with multiple deadlines.
