Position Summary:
Our Accident Management business unit exists to help clients realize meaningful cost savings in their accident claims processes. We do this by skillfully managing the vehicle transport logistics required between when a customer reports that they’ve been in an accident and when their vehicle is ultimately delivered to a repair facility or salvage yard. In addition to our core accident and secondary towing services, we are innovating new products and services that aim to complement our core services and improve not only our clients’ abilities to navigate the increasingly costly world of auto claims, but also their ability to create a positive customer experience during a challenging life event.
Reporting directly to the head of our Accident Management business unit, the [Senior Director / Director] Product Lead will be responsible for driving growth and innovation for the business unit. This role will lead our Accident Management product team, while partnering with our head of engineering to develop and maintain a technical roadmap that supports both our near-term optimization goals, as well as our medium- and long-term growth objectives. Â
We are looking for someone with a demonstrated track record of product strategy and new product innovation, with a mastery of the execution required to innovate, test, iterate, and eventually bring new products to market at scale. Experience working with large insurance carriers in the auto physical damage claims space is strongly preferred.
Key Outcomes:
- Develop and deliver innovative new products and solutions that align with our core capabilities and help our clients solve big problems
- Increase revenue from non-core Accident Management services (defined as services other than primary and secondary towing services) by at least 5-10x over next 3-5 years
- Manage a team of product managers to a high standard of excellence and efficiency
- Collaborate with leaders in technology, business, and operations to formulate industry-changing product innovations
- Drive organizational design to best achieve business objectives
Skills and Experience
- 8+ years full-time product management experience
- 8+ years full-time experience directly in, or closely with, auto claims teams at Top 20 insurance carriers strongly preferred
- 5+ years managing 5 or more Product Managers
- Demonstrated track record bringing new products to market using a structured approach to innovation
- User-centric product philosophy and methodology
- Analytical ability to unpack complex problems, synthesize data, and identify root issues
- Excellent communication skills, from engineering tickets to executive presentations
- Can manage multiple projects simultaneously, handle a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities
- Fluent in the tools, processes, and technologies of modern agile software development
- Technical or analytical degree and experience with enterprise SaaS platforms a plus
