Summary:

In the dynamic role of Director at ZipRecruiter, close collaboration with Product Management and Engineering leaders, along with various business stakeholders, is crucial. The Director’s experience will be critical in driving transformation within decision science and beyond. The role challenges critical thinking abilities through the development of hypotheses, rigorous experimentation, and analysis for validation. Working with cross-functional teams to transform insights into decisive actions and product enhancements is also part of the role. Direct interaction with VP and C-level executives provides an opportunity to shape the company's direction significantly. Additionally, the role includes a unique chance to build and lead a team, thereby amplifying the impact of their efforts. Responsibilities:

• Serve as a trusted decision science and analytics partner to key business stakeholders
• Conduct experiments to test hypotheses and validate models
• Utilize descriptive statistics to summarize and interpret data
• Apply causal inference methods to identify relationships between variables
• Structure data effectively for comprehensive analysis
• Implement clustering techniques to segment data into meaningful groups
• Develop algorithms for text understanding and natural language processing
• Build predictive models to forecast outcomes and trends
• Create simulation models to analyze complex systems and scenarios
• Inspire, mentor, and grow analysts, decision scientists, and managers on the Decision Science team

Minimum Qualifications

• BS in Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, related technical field or equivalent professional experience
• 8+ years of professional experience in decision science, business analytics, data science, software engineering, or related field
• 4+ years of leadership experience, managing teams of managers and individual contributors
• Extensive experience working with cross-functional teams and building relationships across different departments

Preferred Qualifications

• MS/PhD in Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, related technical field or equivalent professional experience
• 6+ years of leadership experience, managing a team of managers and individual contributors
• Highly proficient in statistical software (R, Python), SQL, and data visualization tools
• Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and predictive modeling

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $192,500-$262,500. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, and the range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, role-related knowledge and skills, depth of experience, relevant education or training, and additional role-related considerations.

Depending on the position offered, equity, bonuses, commission, or other forms of compensation may also be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
