Job DescriptionThe Visa Commercial Solutions, B2B Acceptance team has the responsibility for defining and executing the global B2B product vision for Visa's commercial merchant solutions. With 20 Trillion dollars in untapped card-able spend, Visa is positioning itself to capture more than its fair share of this opportunity by focusing on improving the value proposition of card payments for B2B merchants. This includes developing services and capabilities that reduces friction in the payment process while offering an economic model where cost is commensurate with value.
We are responsible for the development and commercialization of new and enhanced products and services, research and thought leadership, and product engagement with our issuing & acquiring partners. The team serves financial institutions, processors, Fintech partnerships, and their downstream clients. We work collaboratively with Visa’s Merchant Services Accounts, B2B Partnerships and Commercial Sales organizations around the globe.
The Director, Product Management will assume responsibility for the full product lifecycle of one of our big bets in driving the global rollout and adoption of our flexible interchange program, Commercial Choice. The program promises a sustainable economic model for buyers, sellers, and their enablement partners and will be the driving force behind B2B payments growth over the next decade.
You will be working in close collaboration with VisaNet engineers, Interchange subject matter experts and regional counterparts around the world to understand system capabilities and limitations as well as a pricing and interchange regulations that dictate what we can do and where. Experience navigating the complexities of matrixed organizations where lines are not always clear is key. Understanding of the 4 party, open loop model is necessary.
This role requires a strong track record of problem solving, initiative and ownership. We are seeking strong thought leadership, influencing, analytical, interpersonal, and technical product skills. Diplomacy to manage relationships, customer and stakeholder expectations and alignment with global partners, is critical to succeeding in this role.
- This role of Product Manager will be a key member of the B2B Acceptance Products & Solutions team and will manage the day-to-day activities for one of our big bets, the Visa Commercial Choice program – a suite of flexible pricing capabilities.
- Help drive global B2B payments growth, adoption and maximize retention in all channels, direct (e.g. issuers, acquirers, processors, Fintechs & merchants).
- Manage feature development through the full product lifecycle from concept to launch and through key commercialization phases: Pilot, Beta, Generally Availability.Â
- Recommend and prioritize the feature roadmap.
- Develop and write detailed product requirements for key enhancements to the system.
- Engage and work closely with UX design & research partners striving to develop a industry leading user experience.Â
- Evaluate and analyze internal & external data sources including Voice-of-Customer to identity potential product enhancement opportunities.
- Ensure all internal and external controls are met before launching new products.Â
- Develop sales enablement assets for all internal and reseller partner sales teams in partnership with marketing.
- Evangelize and demonstrate products to internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide education and training to internal and external stakeholders.
- Engage with prospects, clients and partners in support of global regions and commercialization activities.
- Monitor product performance, enhance KPI dashboards, derive intelligence to ensure data driven decision making.
- Manage 1-2 direct reports.
This is a remote position. A remote position does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a Visa office location. Remote positions may be required to be present at a Visa office with scheduled notice.
QualificationsBasic Qualifications:
• 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8
years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/
MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
• 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of
experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years
of work experience with a PhD
• Extensive experience in Product Management, Sales Engineering, Financial
Modeling and Relationship Building is needed.
• Knowledge of electronic payment types including commercial card payments
experience across the 4 party model is desired.
• Ability to structure, manage, and coordinate complex cross-functional teams
including technical and non-technical resources.
• Strong results-oriented leader. Analytic and fact-based consultative discipline
demonstrating a growth mindset.
• Team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible, with excellent
presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities.
• Familiar with problem solving frameworks.
• MBA or equivalent work experience desired.
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 146,700.00 to 190,800.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
