We are looking for a Product Director for the Americas. This role is responsible for setting and activating product line strategies to ensure the enterprise meets commitments. The Product Director leads a team of 15 - 20 Product Managers and Analysts, responsible for multiple product categories in the business. The team is responsible for setting the strategy for each product category to ensure optimal competitive position in terms of market coverage, price position, and product specification. The Product Director is also responsible for building strategies to increase top line revenue and improve product margins. In addition, this position also leads and influences cross-functional partners in a matrix organization, including Commercial, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Pricing, Content and Category Management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the retirement plan administration for the company's U.S. defined benefit, defined contribution, and supplemental retirement plans; working knowledge of Canadian retirement plans is a plus.
- Develop & lead strategic key product initiatives and inspire a shared vision across the functional teams and departments (Commercial, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Pricing, Content and Category Management)
- Drive the full product lifecycle management process (product pipeline & roadmap, new product line additions and launches, current product line rationalization).
- Participate in the annual budgeting process, providing category insights regarding sales & margin expectations across their designated products.
- Identify financial and business impact of proposed product innovations and/or cost reduction opportunities within portfolio and prioritizes to support the enterprise roadmap.
- Approve goals, metrics, and appropriate analytics to measure the performance of initiatives across the product categories, and continually reviews team recommendations and refinements to the product(s) based on learnings.
- Create and maintain a rolling 3-year Innovation Portfolio Pathway across product categories, to be presented to Senior Leadership annually, with quarterly check points on progress.
- Provide insights to brand marketing team to ensure proper messaging of product features and benefits to our customers.
- Work in coordination with market intelligence to conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape, and translate findings into actionable insights.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies that impact the automotive market.
- Provide insights to brand marketing team to ensure proper messaging of product features and benefits to our customers.
- Reports to the VP, Product Solutions, for the DRiV Americas business.
- Travel: 30-40% as needed
Education: Bachelor's Degree in business/marketing. Masters/MBA with concentration in Marketing preferred
Skills & Experience:
- 10+ yrs. experience in Product Management.
- Proven record of driving top line revenue
- Strong commercial & marketing knowledge and proven track record of product strategy development.
- Technical and operational knowledge within the automotive Aftermarket industry.
- Customer focus & operational execution.
- Demonstrated ability to lead diverse and remote teams through strong leadership.
- Proven capability to lead in a matrix organization driving collaboration across businesses and functions.
- Proven ability to inspire, motivate and coach teams to deliver goals, especially leading diverse and cross-functional teams.
- Able to make tough, informed decisions quickly to keep performance on track.
- A balance of strategic and analytical skills, with strong intellectual curiosity about what it takes to win with consumers and customers
