Director, Product Management

Our customers are real utilities managing the real electrical grid supporting the normal lives of millions of real people. Our mission is to keep the grid running reliably while enabling more renewable energy and reducing reliance on fossil fuel.

Reporting to the VP of Product, the Director of Product to be responsible for our Bring Your Own Thermostat (BYOT) Demand Response solution as well as the cross-cutting functionality which drives all of our solutions. The successful candidate will bring deep experience in leading product managers and an interest in building great software products that help make the electric grid greener and more reliable.

At EnergyHub, the product team is involved in almost every facet of our business. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate across the organization -- from software engineering to marketing to business development to sales to support.

Responsibilities:

• Own our BYOT solution from end to end; create the long term product vision and strategy as well as defining its success metrics
• Build and grow a team of Product Managers focused on solving problems and discovering opportunities
• Work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to continuously discover and validate the product vision and strategy
• Partner with your Engineering and Design peers to define solutions and deliver them

Requirements:

• 5+ years of software product management or related experience
• 2+ years of product leadership experience
• Direct experience managing people
• Significant experience with B2B SaaS software, sold to large enterprises
• Excellent writing, organizational, and time-management skills
• A quantitative and analytical aptitude and a desire to make decisions informed by data
• Great communication and presentation skills, including ability to engage and influence at all levels of the organization
• High attention to detail including proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously - while thinking strategically
• Experience with Jira, ProductBoard, Confluence or similar tools.

Nice to have:

• Experience working in the energy technology or IoT space
• Familiarity with modern software engineering tools and frameworks
• Familiarity with modern grid management and planning tools and frameworks
