Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the global leader in providing payments solutions for Small, Medium and Large/Global businesses. The mission of the Business Financing, Payments and Digital Experiences (BFPD) team within GCS is to deliver a suite of payments solutions that make us the best choice for customers. We achieve this by being customer and competitor obsessed, delivering market leading value, and creating great experiences for our products.
As our customers are changing the way they work and pay, we have been evolving with them by developing B2B partner-embedded and automated payment solutions that seamlessly integrate within our customers' ecosystem. The B2B Payments Automation & APIs (BPAA) product management team is focused on building and scaling a suite of proprietary and partner payments software solutions, delivering compelling value propositions, and implementing robust go-to-market plans to drive the growth of B2B spend across our products.
How will you make an Impact in this role?
The Director, Product Management - AP Automation Go To Market (GTM) will be charged with driving the strategy and execution of the US SME go-to-market strategy for the AP Automation product portfolio, and ensuring key milestones are achieved to drive our ambitious growth targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Define the strategy, roadmap, and execution plan for the acceleration of AP Automation distribution across channels/platforms in the US SME segment
- Spearhead the execution and delivery of go-to-market plan in close collaboration with critical partners in Field, Marketing, Analytics, and Operations teams.
- Formalize and deliver on operational targets necessary to achieve growth aspirations
- Support Nipendo go to market planning including US middle market pilot
- Partner with other B2B/Payment Software teams to optimize cross-product channel strategy
- Liaise with internal control groups to expedite delivery of high-impact and timely collateral and assets across the product portfolio
- Prepare and present updates to senior leadership to ensure visibility and support for critical decision points and initiatives
- Synthesize customer and marketplace insights to inform distribution strategy and growth opportunities
Minimum Qualifications
- 7+ years' experience and consistent record of delivering results in product management, strategy or product development role
- Entrepreneurial spirit, thrives in fast-paced environment - bias for action, gets stuff done
- Effective stakeholder management and influencing skills to optimize speed and impact of deliverables
- Strong communication (written and verbal), comfortable presenting to senior audiences and across functional lines
- Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience leading digital products and delivering a superior customer experience
- Ability to lead through ambiguity and change course quickly based on new insights
- Positive, flexible and proactive - and sense of humor
Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.
Salary Range: $145,000.00 to $230,000.00 annually + bonus + equity (if applicable) + benefits
