Brief Overview:
We are driving a digital revolution in healthcare that is dramatically improving the access, quality and affordability of healthcare. We are seeking a driven, passionate, and seasoned Product Management leader to play a critical role in developing and guiding the product vision and strategy of this revolution, while guiding Product Management and cross-functional teams to successful execution. The portfolio of products developed and managed by this Director of Product Management and their team are part of our broader set of software SaaS solutions, licensed by dozens of Health Plans and Health Systems in the US. These are products that directly improve lives every day by helping patients get the care they need for everything from a sore throat to ongoing anxiety coaching to timely stroke intervention. They also directly impact and help alleviate the workforce shortage challenges in the Provider and Health systems today.
This leader will own the success and roadmap of the Provider and Clinical Staff experience offering on Converge and be a key part of the collective product development leadership team reporting to the Vice President, Product Management.
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead product strategy for the Provider and Clinical Staff experience on the Converge product line, a large and critical part of Amwell’s business, incorporating market insights, primary research, and feedback from other internal stakeholders.
- Amwell Medical Group (AMG) is Amwell’s nationwide network of clinical specialists dedicated to providing the highest quality of care, expanding access, and changing how healthcare is delivered. A core responsibility of this role will be to manage the AMG relationship as it relates to their experience with using the Converge product.
- Lead a team of Product Managers to deliver product strategy. Bring new offerings to life and deliver on what we commit to, ensuring the work we do is targeted at the highest value opportunities.Â
- Own the performance and management of a portfolio of products already in the market.
- Inspire internal, client and partner executives and leaders about the product strategy and roadmap by developing compelling materials, working with cross-functional teams (marketing, visual design) and presenting to internal and external groups.
- Collaborate with other cross-functional leaders, including software development, UX design, and marketing, to deliver on the roadmap and other company initiatives.
- Execute and refine product development and management process to improve efficiencies and effectiveness working with other product development leaders as necessary.
- Initiate and own key partner relationships at the leadership level working with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications:
- 10+ years of technology Product Management experience
- 5+ years leading Product Management teams
- Fluency in SaaS, cloud-based and services-oriented platforms
- Experience in Healthcare – Health Systems and Provider practices, strongly preferred
- Proven track record of taking initiative and ownership of company impacting product initiatives
- Excellent communication skills and proven capability of presenting to and discussing key topics with internal leaders
- Experience working directly with external client and partner leaders
- Proven track record influencing cross-functional teams and stakeholders to execute product strategy
- Robust technical experience, vocabulary and acumen
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and complex project management experience especially working with cross-functional teams
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) preferred

The typical base salary range for this position is $178,160 - $244,970. The actual salary offer will ultimately depend on multiple factors including, but not limited to, knowledge, skills, relevant education, experience, complexity or specialization of talent, and other objective factors. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus based on a combination of company performance and employee performance. Long-term incentive and short-term variable compensation may be offered as part of the compensation package dependent on the role. Some roles may be commission based, in which case the total compensation will be based on a commission and the above range may not be an accurate representation of total compensation.
