What you will be doing
Reporting to the Sr. Director, Solutions, the Director - Product Management has responsibilities to manage from concept to design, sample production, testing, product P&L, forecast, cost, production health, promotion, support, and finally product end of life. The Director - Product Management delivers the roadmap, achievement of growth objectives including market share, revenue, profit and return on investment for all the channels/categories of business and/or key customers across the Global Pharma Services (GPS) business portfolio. The position is experienced in product management and possesses a deep understanding of the healthcare industry and sits within the Innovation & Analytics organization. The Director - Product Management will define the product strategy and roadmap, prioritize features, set pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals while maintaining budget to ensure success, coordinate product implementation and will interact with a broad range of stakeholders and departments to ensure product success.
- Serve as the Product Leader within GPS Innovation maintaining critical information about your products, market, competitors, customers, prospects, key industry analysts, and many other constituencies.
- Set the long-term vision and strategy for GPS Innovation & Analytics products
- Product P&L responsibilities across GPS client portfolio
- Meet with customers and internal stakeholders to harvest service line-related insights, internal stakeholder expertise, and sales feedback to develop a product strategy roadmap to prioritize market requirements
- Monitor industry and regulatory trends to inform product strategy and prioritization
- Be an expert with respect to the competition
- Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities
- Collaborate with other stakeholders to include sales, information technology and commercial operations to develop business case for product opportunities
- Communicate product strategy to all relevant participants and stakeholders
- Develop financial profile for product to include expense and revenue projections, market value and support underwriting efforts across the GPS business
- Develop near-term and long-term forecast of product utilization and financial performance
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and leaders to translate high-level business needs and product strategy into a prioritized roadmap
- Communicate the product strategy and feature updates to senior leadership, key stakeholders, and team members
- Coordinate commercialization activities to include marketing, pricing, training and contracting.
- Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes
- Serve as the product lead for product design and implementation
- Lead the Product team in SAFe Agile Methodology best practices
- Monitor health of product portfolio to include adoption, technical and operational performance, quality, revenue and profitability
- Maintain awareness of the changing competitive landscape and develop strategies and tactics to address competitive risks and maximize
- product advantages throughout the product life cycle. Perform related duties as assigned and act as a leader within the company
What your background should look like
- Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, sales, marketing or similar vocations obtained through completion of a four (4) year Bachelor's Degree program or equivalent work experience
- Requires a minimum of seven (7) years product management and healthcare industry experience.
- Extensive experience working with Agile teams. SAFe Agile certification preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Operational program experience or experience in a position that provides support to operational program processes for at least one year
- Ability to think strategically, applying business insight/acumen and demonstrating critical thought in a complex business environment.
- Ability to construct a business case that illustrates opportunity and risk accurately based on information available.
- Demonstrated effective professional communication (written and verbal), presentation skills and training skills.
- Ability to prioritize workload and consistently meet deadlines; identify additional resource needs as necessary.
- Ability to work independently and within a team setting with minimal direction/supervision.
- Ability to understand technical concepts and translate to operational processes.
- Ability to understand operational processes and evaluate technical solutions.
- Demonstrated success leading projects and being a member of project teams.
- Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to learn and implement new concepts/skills with minimal lead time.
- Ability to complete research in a thorough, thoughtful, and comprehensive way that demonstrates understanding and provides strategic insight.
- Ability to conceptualize and validate new products and/or product strategies.
- Ability to demonstrate a basic understanding of budgets, productivity, and other business concepts.
- Open to traveling 10% - 15% as needed

$115,100 - 177,320
*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
