The Director, Product Marketing - Employment Verifications is accountable for the go-to-market strategy for The Work Number product for the employer market. He or she must work collaboratively across business lines including corporate communications, sales, product management, and pre-sales teams. The Product Marketing Director should be an expert on B2B product marketing, building differentiators and product messaging that resonates with key buyers, users and other personas. He or she will lead product launch plans in partnership with product management, influence campaign development and execution, and set priorities to drive measurable results.

What you'll do
  • Working cross-functionally, establish the annual Product Marketing go-to-market plan for the product suite (audience prioritization for targeting and tactics to ensure audiences receive information)
  • Communicate plans and achieve alignment for the strategy across the organization
  • Pursue revenue and maximize profitability through go-to-market and fueling further success through target audiences, messaging, packaging and sales enablement
  • Leverage customer profiles such as industry, size and length of relationship to drive an audience-centric marketing approach within the organization, ensuring that messaging, content, and campaign strategies are centered around buyer and customer needs
  • Follow and gain understanding of market trends within verifications and related sectors
  • Design and implement a consistent and comprehensive process for understanding customer needs; Understand and spearhead persona development; look for continuous ways to activate feedback
  • Working with Market Intelligence leader, leverage competitive intelligence to build competitive positioning and support go-to-market planning and targeting approach
  • Work closely with pre-sales teams to stay on top of market trends they are experiencing in order to adjust and refine strategies
  • Spearhead portfolio marketing for relevant activities and deliverables (e.g. buyer personas, competitive positioning, market requirements, launch plan, etc.)
  • Oversee and provide direction for market segmentation and targeting in order to define the market opportunities for the product portfolio and partner with product management leaders to build business cases for expanding market presence or entering new markets
  • Monitor and report on the performance of the product portfolio


What experience you need
  • Bachelor's Degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum of 8 years relevant B2B marketing experience; experience marketing to HR buyers preferred

  • Strong storytelling skills, with excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to develop strategies for creating pipeline for new offerings as well as upsell, cross-sell and account-based marketing programs to grow existing relationships
  • Proven track record of ability to analyze complex industry and buyer needs, assess market trends and opportunities and design effective marketing plans to penetrate and win market share
  • Detail-oriented, organized, strong prioritization skills and efficiency with time management
