Position Summary

The Director of Product Marketing at Consumer Edge will join our newly formed Marketing team and report to the VP, Head of Marketing as the second marketing team hire. The Director of Product Marketing will be responsible for all aspects of product marketing and go to market product marketing strategy across the organization for all product lines. The Director of Marketing will be responsible for managing product line consistency and communication across the organization to ensure a cohesive brand presence both internally and externally for CE Corporate clients and prospective clients. You will have the opportunity to demonstrate thought leadership and innovation, as well as oversee the delivery of Consumer Edge’s brand presence through product management. 

Responsibilities Overview: development and management of consistent sales collateral including messaging, product naming, product positioning, content marketing strategy, product launch calendar updates as well as content pieces to drive interest. You will work directly with the Vice President of Marketing on execution of the Marketing Plan and 360 activations.  This individual will contribute to the strategic vision for the cross-channel product activation of our core product lines and coordinate the activation calendar across the organization interacting with cross-functional teams including Sales, Customer Success, Insights, Product and Digital Marketing.

What You’ll Do

  • Define and deliver on the Consumer Edge Marketing Plan across all target segments including investment, private equity, venture capital and corporate segments
  • Ensure a cohesive brand right presence across all channels with respect to creative, collateral and copy for each product and target segment
  • Collaborate with Vice President Head of Marketing and other senior stakeholders across various teams about customer feedback, new product launches, and current product strategies
  • Build, manage and execute the cross-channel marketing activation calendar for Consumer Edge’s Global suite of products and product launches
  • Research competitive landscape and regularly report back to cross functional teams’ competitive activity across channels; adjust strategy accordingly
  • Demonstrate a metrics-driven approach for measuring campaign effectiveness through data analysis and various other qualitative and quantitative methods and make recommendations for improvements
  • Manage multiple projects in conjunction with Sales, Customer Success, and Product Development teams to gain a deep understanding of CE’s platform and continue to find ways to help drive business growth in a systematic fashion
  • Partner with legal on ensuring appropriate internal/external copy communications
  • Build out and manage all sales collateral and update accordingly
  • Generate new content pieces, white papers and interest publications
  • Define and document product concepts and ensure consistent copy with appropriate approvals
  • Develop content for cross-channel campaigns supportive of the marketing activation calendar ensuring brand right messaging
  • Support industry partners with content for visibility
  • Develop, execute and measure ROI effectiveness of campaigns

What You’ll Have

  • 8-10 years of Product Marketing experience, with at least 5+ years in a leadership capacity and experience with cross-channel activation – experience in the consumer data space and consumer data insights is a MUST
  • Hybrid of B2B SaaS marketing and corporate/consumer experience strongly preferred
  • Visually creative acumen; portfolio required for interview with the VP, Head of Marketing
  • Knowledge of HubSpot; technically savvy
  • Proven track record for being detail-oriented, highly analytical, comfortable with numbers and excel
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with a demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and implement strategic product initiatives independently
  • Strong presentation, and oral/written communication skills; expert copywriter
  • A passion for customer-service and comfortability interacting regularly with senior executives and cross-functionally with other departments across CE
  • Experience with the strategic creation of successful campaigns, including defining vision, strategy, outcome-driven marketing activation roadmaps
  • Tenacity & Flexibility: will be accountable for and drive tangible results and can be open-minded with testing new approaches - harnessing any failures, and translating them to wins
  • Ability to identify trends and opportunities through understanding customer needs and always striving for improvement
  • Ability to work well in an unstructured environment and establish proper processes and procedures for effective execution
