Job Description

As a Director, Product Partnerships & Strategy role in our Open Banking team, you will work across some of our most strategic product partnerships and help shape and define our overall strategy in this area. This role involves leading day-to-day relationship management for a select group of strategic partners, identifying strategic opportunities for Visa capabilities, providing project management and cross-functional coordination, serving as the primary point of contact for any ongoing operational concerns, and providing regular reporting on relationship status to senior management.

You will work closely with relevant Visa Account Executives, Product, Sales, Finance, Legal and Marketing teams. To thrive in this role you will need to successfully handle stakeholder management on different levels across the organization, in a global environment. The successful candidate will need to be able to take a partnership initiative from concept to launch. This may include evaluating partnership opportunities, identifying potential partners, performing structured analysis to evaluate the commercial value, proactively socializing to develop the right level of commitment through that process, and collaborating to develop actionable plans in addition to relationship management for any product partnerships executed. Additionally, this individual should have a strong understanding of Visa’s broader product set and how to think about combined offerings across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Drive key strategic product partnerships from concept to execution.
  • Partner with product, technology, sales, marketing, finance and other functions to identify and execute strategic product partnerships.
  • Manage key accounts and relationships with partners internally and externally
  • Understand the broad set of Visa products and opportunities for collaboration
  • Support product teams in any product development or other product partnership requirements.
  • Project manage any product partnerships to ensure successful execution and implementation.
  • Manage the overall relationship with product partners in their roadmap prioritization to ensure it is aligned with our overall commercial agenda.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally with potential product partnerships.
  • Become a domain expert in your area that helps to identify any potential product partnerships that could enhance the overall effort.
  • Support areas across the open banking team that need additional support.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic

  • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA)

Preferred

  • You have 10-12 or more years of work experience, wtih a Bachelor's Degree. 
  • 5 or more years’ experience in Product Strategy and/or Management with track record of project management, strategic thinking and ability to execute.
  • Hands-on experience developing partnerships with a proven track record of successful business impact
  • In-depth knowledge of Visa products with the ability to identify potential synergies gained through partnership offerings, or market gaps.
  • Strong passion for payments space and open banking.
  • Ability to build relationships and gain exposure to internal and external client leadership teams through demonstrating key domain expertise.
  • Working well within heavily matrixed organizations, multi-national experience a plus
  • Strategic thinking, thought leadership, teamwork, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to operate in the grey and jump in to support other areas within our open banking team

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 131,000 to 209,550 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
