Your Role:
As the Director, Production Control & Logistics, you’ll be working with some of the industry’s brightest minds to:
- Develop the strategic plan and KPI’s for each area of responsibility
- People, Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost
- Full P&L responsibility for Production Control and Logistics
- Responsible for meeting budget requirements and initiating cost improvements
- Develop training programs for all Manager and above employees
- Clear tasks and roles
- Ensure the roles and tasks given to worker are clear and understandable
- Manage logistics, material handling and production scheduling activities of the plant.
- Recruit, hire and train the required Salary resources for the departments
- Create a culture and drive for Continuous Improvement to eliminate waste
- Develop Quality and robust processes to delivery FF products
- Implement Standardized methods and processes using visual management
- Implement rapid identification of problems and practical problem solving
- Customer orientation (in house & external)
- Create and deploy the Production Control & Logistics policies.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by assuring that the right parts are available at the right time in the right quantity at the lowest cost.
- Manage the launch of new programs within the plant.
- Define and implement all the necessary systems and procedures to ensure a successful PC&L operation.
- Monitor logistics performance and implement necessary improvement actions in coordination with other plant functions (Quality, Production System Efficiency).
- Develop and ensure compliance to formal policies and procedures. Monitor trends and establish action to improve
- Responsible to oversee material flow and availability within the plant
- Meet/exceed targets for customer performance metrics
- Responsible for all inventory and warehouse management functions, including inventory accuracy
- Directs freight and logistics functions in accordance with corporate standards
- Manage material engineering changes with Product Development and Suppliers to protect production plans and minimize obsolescence cost.
Basically, you’ll ensure that the PC&L department runs effectively and efficiently.
Basic Qualifications:
- Strong Project Management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Logistics/Materials Management.
- 15+ years of experience in your field.
- Proven knowledge + expertise, and passion for PC&L.
- Top-notch leadership, communication, customer focus, supplier management, planning, management skills.
- Strong familiarity with SAP, MRP, Lean Manufacturing, inventory management, material flow, logistics.
- Must have at least 5 years of leadership experience in materials management and production control in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- APICS certification.
- Proven expertise with startup operations, Value Stream Mapping, Lean Manufacturing, Material Flow, Elimination of Non-Value-Added Work, Inventory Turns.
- A diverse skillset including Warehouse Organization / Management Skills, Visual Management skills.
- A wide range of experience with customer management and supplier management.
- A creative curiosity, collaborative ethic, hardworking enthusiasm, and driving personal vision.
- Excellent communication skills and team-working tendencies.
- A penchant for multi-tasking and self-starting.
- A genuine fascination for the PC&L field and a commitment to global change.
- A true sense of determination… and hopefully a sense of humor.
Annual Salary Range:
($160K - $220K), plus benefits and incentive plans.
