A Brief Overview

Working within Information Technology, the Program Management Director - DS is responsible for managing the DS implemenation of technology systems and solutions. Managing includes the overseeing of all IT projects which are strategic, both large-scale and small-scale, and involves multiple functional areas within the enterprise. The PD-DS manages a team of project managers, project coordinators, clinicians and engineers, coordinating efforts required to successfully install software applications, and is accountable for project schedules, budgets, and outcomes. Contributing to the development of project management standards and practices for Stanford Hospitals and Clinics is also required.

The Program Management Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of an information technology project, including initiation, planning, budgeting, analysis, design, specification development, configuration, testing, training, documentation, policy and procedure development, issue resolution, marketing and go-live customer support.

What you will do

  • Develops and maintains policies and procedures related to project acceptance
  • Develops and maintains policies and procedures related to project monitoring and reporting
  • Develops and maintains policies and procedures related to project estimating and budgeting
  • Reviews and approves project budgets
  • Reviews and approves project schedules
  • Reviews and approves project charters, including project scope and project organization
  • Assigns or procures appropriate resources to support project execution
  • Monitors and reports on project performance with regard to project schedule, budgets and benefit related outcomes for all approved projects
  • Distributes minutes and other relevant communication regarding project activities
  • Serves as a mentor to site Project Managers and Project Coordinators facilitating their professional growth and career development
  • Works closely with the User Groups and Account Executives to maintain an ongoing understanding of business issues and needs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education Qualifications

  • from an accredited college or university.

Experience Qualifications

  • Ten (10) years of responsible directly related experience.

  • Utilizing project management disciplines/methodologies, including; scooping, planning, monitoring of progress and implementation

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $81.45 - $107.92 per hour

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
