We are recruiting for a highly driven cross-functional leader. This is a perfect opportunity to work on the forefront of a complex and challenging digital transformation program which will improve customer experience by boosting and enhancing digital innovation for the Medication Management Solutions (MMS) business. The Director, Program Management will have full accountability for the development and sustainability of the digital transformation program and will ensure close alignment with various MMS product solutions.

Job Description

In this role, you will manage and ensure alignment of key Timelines, Program Interdependencies, and Core Team resources across various MMS product platforms. You will be accountable to ensure your program team is efficient, knowledgeable, and disciplined in delivering various aspects of the digital transformation program on time and on budget under the direction of the steering committee.

You will ensure your team members:

• Are efficient, effective, and well-coordinated
• Have clear priorities and goals
• Develop and track schedules and budgets
• Deliver quality releases that enable various MMS commercial product releases

A Day in the Life:

The Director, Program Management is responsible for the Digital Transformation Program and will be responsible for tasks as outlined below:

• Leads and aligns with MMS platform, product, and solution level program teams on the product release cadence in line with the Digital Transformation program roadmap.
• Directly manage, develop, and coordinate activities across the various sub-teams and ensure product development efforts are completed according to the agreed upon scope.
• Overall performance responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables.
• Enable and empower the program team to expedite decision making and timely escalation of critical risks.
• Provide day to day direction to the program team and status updates to key stakeholders via program and portfolio reviews.
• Provide recommendations to further streamline BD's New Product Development process and Quality Management System in line with the various development aspects of the program.
• Maintain a sense of urgency, facilitate problem solving sessions and meetings to address obstacles.
• Leads tradeoffs between time, schedule, cost, and quality (when appropriate), while meeting safety and regulatory requirements.
• Exhibits strong technical expertise in product development processes and provides mentorship to Program team members.
• Exhibits program leadership skills including, but not limited to: critical path definition, optimization, monitoring, and management to ensure the most efficient time to market.
• Ability to track the financials of the program using methods including forecasting, accruals, and actuals.
• Develops a broad understanding of the MMS Portfolio of products and leverages the knowledge of others.
• Proven ability to coach and influence program teams to achieve maximum performance and efficiency in the project.
• Manage program resources, including subcontractors and offshore team(s).

Qualifications:

• Medical Device new product development experience from concept to successful commercialization.
• Demonstrated track record of leading multiple successful projects that met business and product objectives.
• Experience working under regulations of the FDA, notified bodies, and other regulatory agencies for successful commercial launches.
• Experience with all phases of the product life cycle: planning, feasibility, verification, validation, process qualification, transfer, and post-launch.
• Product launch experience working with Global teams.
• Agile program management experience.
• Experience with Software program management.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
• 15+ years' experience in product development, manufacturing, operations and/or engineering
• PMP certification/Certificate in Program Management
• Experience in Software Engineering, Software Infrastructure Engineering, Security, Big Data and Analytics, or Cloud Networking is a plus.

There are many factors, such as location, that contribute to the range displayed. The salary offered to a successful candidate is based on experience, education, skills, and actual work location. Salary ranges may vary for Field-based and Remote roles.
