Director, Project Management (UX/UI)
Job Description
WONGDOODY is hiring a Director, Project Management with strong Agile/SAFe knowledge to lead UX/UI deliverables and project teams across a variety of Fortune 1000 accounts.
This role will be key to our growth efforts and partner closely with our Business Development team to scope incoming work and activate design/product teams to deliver the goods! WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manage project planning, budgets, and scopes for UX and front-end dev deliverables
- Work with Business Development and Account leads to negotiate, scope, and estimate opportunities; interfacing with both partners and end clients
- Clearly communicating expectations to end clients and matrixed team members
- Manage full project lifecycle (Brief, Kick Off, Development, Delivery) with support of PMs / BAs
- Serve as Agile/SAFe Subject Matter Expert (SME) in support of CX and Delivery teams
- Oversee meticulous documentation of project status, financials, meeting discussions, action items, and performance
- Leads issue and risk mitigation. Escalation when necessary and owning the resolution.
- Utilizes project management and task management software (ex: MS Project, Smartsheet, Asana, Jira, Workamajig)
- Empathetic to the team while always pushing for on-time and on-budget deliverables
- Manage and mentor a team of Delivery team members as assigned

WHAT YOU'VE GOT
- 10+ years of successfully managing digital experience (CX) projects and distributed teams and clients across NA/India.
- 5+ years of proven experience in digital/UX and front-end development projects
- Strong fluency in Agile Project Management
- Experience with SAFe agile methodologies and tools
- PMP, Scrum, Agile/SAFe and/or Product Owner Certifications highly preferred
- Consultancy experience is a plus         Â
- Successful track record of leading projects utilizing varying methodologies – agile, waterfall, and the many combinations thereof
- High EQ and a knack for building strong and trustworthy relationships across partner disciplines – Client Services, Strategy, Creative, UX, and Engineering
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to unite disparate perspectivesÂ
- Expertise in team leadership; recruiting, mentoring, training, and developing direct reports
- Strong problem-solving skills and confidence to be decisive in sometimes ambiguous environments
- Experience in Mac OS, Keynote and Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Workamajig, Jira, Trello, Asana
- Experience crafting business summaries – project financials, forecast, tracking out of pocket expenses
- A sense of humor!
