Job Description

Summary of Position:

The Director of Quality Assurance is responsible for planning, developing, and directing quality assurance programs, policies, and initiatives. Directs process and testing to assure products comply with established quality standards and where applicable, government regulations. This position also develops and manages all aspects of product release planning based on needs of the company and works in close cooperation with the software and hardware development teams produce quality products, on time.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and oversee Quality Assurance activities for the New Product Development department.
  • Manage the local/remote QA staff to ensure efficient workflow to support an aggressive product roll out strategy.
  • Maintain and grow the test script databases to ensure the team has the best chance of not making mistakes more than once.
  • Coordinate product releases with the Arrow operations and Support departments to ensure efficient hand off of newly released products.
  • Develop methods for automated software testing.
  • Manage and promote product release โ€œpost-mortemsโ€ to ensure that each development cycle is shorter and higher in quality.
  • Work with game studios to develop new testing strategies for newly developed games, features, etc.
  • Interface with game studios to promote quality in their development strategies
  • Demonstrate a focus on continuous improvement and process excellence

Requirements:

  • 10+ yearsโ€™ experience managing a software Quality Assurance Department
  • Proficient in working with development tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bit Bucket, etc
  • Superb communication and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as Word and Excel
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Experience with computer hardware is a plus
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Experience working with remote employees, teams
  • Potential for travel
