As the Director of Quality Engineering, you will be responsible for leading and managing the quality assurance function at Mad Mobile. Your primary focus will be on developing and implementing testing strategies and processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products and services. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and operations, to drive continuous improvement and achieve the highest quality assurance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive quality assurance strategy and roadmap, aligning it with the organization's goals and objectives.
Lead a team of quality assurance professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management to ensure a high-performing and motivated team.
Establish and enforce quality assurance processes, standards, and best practices, ensuring adherence to industry regulations and guidelines.
Design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks, tools, and infrastructure to optimize the testing process and enhance efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize test requirements, ensuring adequate test coverage for all software components.
Oversee the planning, design, and execution of automated tests, including functional, regression, performance, and integration tests.
Monitor and analyze test results, identifying trends, patterns, and potential areas of improvement. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the quality assurance function, promoting innovation and adopting emerging trends and technologies.
Act as a critical point of contact for quality-related matters, liaising with stakeholders, clients, and third-party vendors to address concerns and resolve issues.
Stay current with industry trends, tools, and technologies related to quality assurance and automation, and make recommendations for their adoption.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience (8+ years) in quality assurance, automated testing and test automation frameworks.
Strong leadership and people management skills, with a track record of leading and motivating teams.
Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks and tools, such as Selenium, Appium, or similar.
In-depth knowledge of software development methodologies, agile practices, and quality assurance principles.
Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Javascript and C#.
Solid understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and their integration with automated testing.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Certifications in quality assurance or test automation (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE, or similar) are highly desirable.
