Director, Reporting and Governance

The Director of Reporting and Process Improvement is responsible for leading the development, execution, and maintenance of reporting systems, as well as driving continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. This role combines expertise in data analysis, process optimization, and management to enhance the organization's overall performance and efficiency.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
Lead the design and implementation of a robust reporting framework that supports the company's strategic objectives.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop dashboards and reports to monitor and communicate organizational performance.
- Ensure alignment between the company's strategic goals and its reporting and process improvement initiatives.
Reporting & Data Analysis:
- Oversee the development and maintenance of reporting tools, databases, and systems.
- Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, insights, and areas of improvement.
- Ensure that reports are accurate, timely, and provide value to stakeholders.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify areas for process optimization and introduce best practices to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
- Lead cross-functional teams to implement process improvement projects using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or other relevant approaches.
- Measure and report on the outcomes and benefits of process improvement initiatives.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with departmental leaders to ensure reporting needs are met and that insights derived from data analysis inform business decisions.
- Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring clear communication and understanding of reporting tools and findings.
- Team Management & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of analysts, process improvement specialists, and other relevant staff.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
- Manage resource allocation and project prioritization to ensure timely delivery of key initiatives.
- Compliance & Best Practices:
- Stay updated with industry best practices in data analysis, reporting, and process improvement.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and internal data governance policies.
- Establish and maintain documentation of processes, workflows, and systems.
Qualifications:
- Position requires business representation over the maintenance and development of the metric and reporting related interfaces and requires to work both independently and within a team environment.
- The individual will work closely with all cross functional departments to provide information and recommendations concerning maintenance and development of reporting systems to the needs of those departments.
- The effectiveness of this position will require the individual to maintain current knowledge current and future system environments.
- This role will require the individual to meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to work with confidential information in a professional manner.
- Experience in managing large software implementations, reporting and financial planning.
- High level of proficiency with database, spreadsheet and accounting software applications. Knowledge of accounting, finance and economics principles and practices.
- Ability in managing outside vendors and negotiating vendor contracts.
- Ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities, work under pressure and meet organizational deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to complete projects accurately with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate (written and oral) with coworkers and various outside business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or equivalent experience.
- Management experience required.
- Telecommunications experience strongly preferred.
- Experience providing phone support and responding to questions regarding billings and service.
Base pay range: $137,600-$196,500, commensurate with experience
