The Scoop:
The Director, Reporting and Business Intelligence provides ownership and oversight of enterprise Business Intelligence (BI) tools and services, including managing the preparation of a variety of budgetary, forecasted, and financial data, accounting, and analysis of such data.
What You Get To Do:
- Promotes the overall vision and strategies of the enterprise
- Ensure the effective execution of the organization's BI strategy and objectives
- Collaborates with business and IT stakeholders and subject matter experts on the overall Business Intelligence strategy
- Function as the Release Manager for the SUNRx Reporting and BI applications, responsible for planning and managing the release schedule, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of solutions
- Develops and promotes the overall vision, goals, strategies, and objectives for strategic financial forecasting, accounting practices & analysis in support of the Company's overall vision and objectives
- Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and capital expenditures
- Institute and ensure adherence to guidelines and best practices for design, coding, and quality assurance of Business Intelligence solutions
- Ensure compliance policies are satisfied and that the units work product is HIPAA compliant
- Institute and ensure adherence to policies and procedures that effect high levels of service, high quality solutions, and promote value and efficiency
- Proactively identifies and implements the adoption of (1) new technology (2) industry's best practices, and (3) streamlining processes
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Manages assigned staff of analysts and accounting associates
- Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the unit
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
- Supports and enforces all company policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner, taking corrective action whenever necessary
Education and/or Experience
For consideration candidates will need:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent combination of work experience and education)
- Ten (10 ) years' related SME experience in business intelligence, report development, data modeling and/or analysis
- Minimum eight (8) years' supervisory experience
- Leadership experience may be substituted with ten (10) years of MedImpact experience plus an appropriate external leadership training program and internal mentorship with a seasoned leader (VP ) for current active employees
- Prior healthcare or Pharmacy industry experience a plus
Computer Skills
Demonstrable skills required in the following areas:
- Power BI
- Working knowledge of SQL
- Basic skills with data query tools
- Basic knowledge of data modeling principles and tools
- Good working knowledge of relational databases
- MS Office Suite
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
None required. Advanced training and/or certification in Power BI preferred.
Other Skills and Abilities
- Ability to effectively balance a high volume of work; detailed oriented and organized
- Ability to appropriately schedule and prioritize multiple projects to ensure timely and effective delivery
- Excellent problem resolution, judgment and decision making skills
- Must be highly motivated, a quick learner as well as have the ability to work independently and direct the work of a team driving solutions
- Must be flexible and capable of juggling multiple priorities with a willingness to do what it takes to meet critical deadlines
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) as well as strong interpersonal skills to effectively facilitate meetings and work in a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills with emphasis on translating technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Outstanding numeric, verbal, written, presentation, logic, and analytical skills
- Familiarity with PBM business model (plans, programs, and practices) as well as pharmaceutical practices (nomenclature, medications) preferred

This position may require infrequent domestic travel.
