DIRECTOR, RESEARCH & ANALYTICS
Working alongside directors and senior strategists, the role of the Director, Research & Analytics is to develop, represent, and deliver Interbrand's strategic research and analytics offerings. Creating high impact content and enhancing our distinctive knowledge. Specifically, we are seeking an individual with a strong knowledge and passion for research, specifically on qualitative techniques and the ability to utilize research inputs to tell a compelling story.
THE ROLE:
- Combine analysis with strategic thinking and business requirements to create a cohesive story and actionable results for our clients
- Contribute to strategic thinking for clients, understanding client objectives and delivering value at every client interaction
- Contribute to the knowledge sharing among the team
- Develop and lead new business POVs providing value from an analytical and strategic standpoint
- Lead and contribute directly to structure, content, and delivery of documents for internal or client use (thought leadership, repositioning, brand architecture, etc.)
- Design, develop and execute research approaches and programs to support branding initiatives with an emphasis on qualitative techniques
- Conduct and synthesize research to identify salient information and trends
- Collaborate with Interbrand and client teams to develop strategic recommendations
- Communicate insights both visually and verbally
- Interact and manage client expectations and issues in cooperation with other Interbrand team members
- Manage junior team members on day-to-day assignments
- WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
- 6-10 years relevant experience
- Experience in collecting and leveraging qualitative data in creating narratives to tell compelling strategic stories
- Experience executing research and analytics projects including:
- Vendor management including logistics for both quantitative and qualitative research projects
- Writing qualitative questionnaires and discussion guides
- Conducting qualitative research
- Interpretation of qualitative results (e.g. focus groups, in-depth interviews and ethnographies)
- Summary report writing
- Applying qualitative insights to brand strategy and making strategic recommendations
- Familiarity with qualitative research techniques. Ex: group discussing, ethnography, discussion boards etc.
- Familiarity with quantitative methodologies (online surveys, statistical analyses, regression models etc.)
- Comfort with ambiguity and imperfect information
- Working understanding of business processes and strategy
- Strong client leadership skills - can connect with clients and inspire their confidence and ongoing commitment
- Passionate about having measurable impact on client’s business
*Note this job requires 2-3 days in the New York office
Compensation
- Base salary range of $160K to $200K
- This range represents the low and high end of the base salary someone in this role may earn as an employee of Interbrand in the United States. Salaries will vary based on various factors including but not limited to professional and academic experience; training; associated responsibilities; other business and organizational needs; and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire.
