The Director of Resource Management plays a critical role in overseeing the Resource Management team,

focusing on optimizing the staffing process and balancing supply and demand decisions across various practices

and customer needs. The Director role is responsible for leading a dedicated team, resolving conflicts, and

collaborating with key stakeholders to streamline processes, drive efficiency, and contribute to the overall success

of the organization.


In addition to leading the RM Team, the Director plays a player-coach role by serving in a part-time Resource

Manager capacity.


WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO:

Team Leadership:

o Oversee and lead Point B's Resource Management team.

o Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.

o Prioritize workload across the team to enable staffing of high value deals and meeting customer

deadlines.

o Provide guidance and mentorship to team members.


Staffing Process, Governance, and Conflict Resolution:

o Work with Growth and Delivery teams to define and enforce staffing governance.

o Develop, manage, and optimize the staffing process and systems.

o Resolve conflicts through negotiation, scheduling adjustments, or alternative solutions.

o Collaborate with Contractor Support on immediate and mid-term staffing needs to ensure

sourcing priorities.


Demand and Supply Planning:

o Lead process to analyze demand and supply forecasts and trends to prioritize sourcing and

demand generation activities, inform workforce planning, and support revenue forecasting.

o Collaborate with Operations, Talent Acquisition, and FP&A teams to develop monthly D&SP

report.

o Collaboration with HR on items that impact staffability (LOAs, accommodations, and delivery

performance).


Utilization Tracking:

o Monitor and optimize resource utilization to ensure effective deployment on projects.

o Implement strategies to enhance consultant productivity and project efficiency.


Bench Management:

o Allocate unstaffed resources strategically to high-priority activities that contribute to business

growth, add customer value, and support critical operational needs.


Skills Management System:

o Collaborate with People and Delivery teams to implement and manage a skills management

system to enhance the staffing process.


RM Reporting and Analytics:

o Own Resource Management reporting and analytics.

o Provide actionable insights to facilitate effective decision-making.


Process Improvements:

o Identify and implement process improvements and operational efficiencies.

o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance overall productivity

WHAT WE EXPECT YOU’VE ALREADY DONE:

B.A. or B.S. degree required. MBA encouraged

10+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a management consulting or professional services environment

3+ years of resource management experience

2+ years of managing and developing people

Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills

Experience with Certinia (FinancialForce) preferred

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The estimated salary range for this role is $136,500 - $226,500 USD per year. This salary range is provided as required by local and state law as applicable. Individual salaries vary on a number of factors including but not limited to geography, skills, education, experience and unique qualifications where applicable.

 

Bonuses are awarded at Point B’s discretion and are based upon individual contributions and overall firm performance.
