What Revenue Management contributes to Cardinal Health
Revenue Management is responsible for developing, communicating, and leading the execution of market strategy and profitability optimization through pricing and value-capture activities at both the strategic and tactical levels. The group uses modeling, analytics, and econometrics to create pricing strategies for our products and services.
Revenue Management provides strategic oversight, leadership and direction within the Revenue Management function. Leaders can have responsibility for price management within a business or pricing function.
Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience
- BA or BS, Advanced Degree preferred

- Provides leadership to managers and experienced professional staff; may also manage front line supervisors
- Manages an organizational budget
- Develops and implements policies and procedures to achieve organizational goals
- Assists in the development of functional strategy
- Decisions have an extended impact on work processes, outcomes, and customers
- Interacts with internal and/or external leaders, including senior management
- Persuades others into agreement in sensitive situations while maintaining positive relationships
Responsibilities
- Develop pricing strategies for new and existing customer pricing, optimizing for market competitiveness and gross margin maximization in alignment with Cardinal Health's commercial strategies
- Drive pricing strategies from concept to implementation, engage cross-functional leaders in the development and socialization of new pricing strategies, influence key stakeholders to ensure buy-in and successful implementation, monitor key metrics for implemented strategies and improve performance on an ongoing basis
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Sourcing and FP&A to develop a deep understanding of customer segments, competitor offerings and market trends and provide guidance and direction related to pricing and revenue management strategies
- Identify opportunities for pricing and business intelligence improvement; identify areas of margin leakage and recommends improvement strategies
- Deploy value-based approaches and principles into key growth areas for the company
- Attract, develop and retain talent to grow pricing expertise at Cardinal Health
- Develop operational tools and capabilities, including metrics, roadmap and key milestones, and organization cadence
- Some travel may be required
